The Trails Construction Crew Member works cooperatively with the full-time CMEA crew to complete trail projects in the field. Essential Functions: Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required. Uses traditional trail skills, restoration techniques, carpentry skills, and physical labor including the use of hand tools while working cooperatively with crew members to complete an array of projects across the Park District, including trail construction and maintenance, building rock stairs, carpentry, bridge construction, invasive vegetation removal, and restoration of impacted sites. Completes training and adheres to Cleveland Metroparks trails standards, practices, and expectations. Performs field work, interaction with the public, and related functions in a responsible manner that reflects well on Cleveland Metroparks.
