ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS Responsible for food preparation Prepare a variety of meals in steamers, ovens or deep fryers Cook in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served Ensure proper handling, sanitation, freshness and quality of all products Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served Properly shave and slice deli meats and cheeses Fill and rotate deli hot cases and displays Ensure cases and displays are full, clean and attractive Maintain proper refrigeration, and handle product properly to avoid damage Code date product, and separate outdated or unfit product Set cases and displays according to instructions Assist in receiving of product Correctly match delivery to invoice and sign Monitor product quality Store product and ensure proper refrigeration Break down department and perform cleaning duties Close the kitchen properly and follow closing procedures for kitchen stations Assist others in closing the kitchen Wash dishes Break down, wash and sanitize; sharpen slicers Clean cases, ovens and fryers Sweep and mop floors Use personal protective devices (cut resistant gloves, chemical resistant gloves, chemical splash goggles, poly gloves) as instructed Assist with ordering, merchandising, pricing procedures, product development and employee training Follow all store and department policies and procedures FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS Physical Lifting/carrying up to 60 lbs. Provide service recovery if necessary and involve appropriate leadership when needed. * Promptly respond to guests with any additional request or questions regarding menu or supplement offerings. * Understands and can communicate products and services available at the resort to the guest. * Assist with stocking, dry goods inventory levels and maintaining the restaurant par stock levels and side station at respected location. * Utilize all café SOP's and follow opening and closing checklists consistently. * Assist Café Coordinator with R&D of monthly drinks specials and monthly smoothie specials at respected location. * Operate all café equipment to include espresso machine, coffee brewer, vitamix blenders, espresso grinders, cold-brew + nitro taps. * Prepare and present beverages according to established recipe and presentation standards. * Serve prepared food items. * Understand the health benefits that fruits and vegetables provide. * Collect and process payments from the customer including cash, credit/debit cards and gift cards. * Maintain clean and hygienic work area. * Dismantle and clean machinery daily to uphold sanitary standards. * Display merchandise and supplements in an aesthetic and functional manner. * Monitor and order inventory if/when needed. * Complete opening and closing duties for each shift. * Cross train in back of house operations to include juicing operations if/when needed. * Complete all tasks as assigned by leadership in a timely manner. * Must obtain food safety certification if not certified already. This is a part time position at Green House, located within The American Club. Shifts will vary on weekdays and weekends varying between 6am and 11pm. Skills/Requirements * Applicants must be 18+ years or older to apply. * Weekends are required * Previous experience or familiarity with varieties of coffee drinks and equipment preferred * Learn2Serve Certification preferred * Previous experience with some food preparation preferred * Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail needed * The ability to walk and stand for the majority of each shift, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
