If you've never been on an airplane before, this position may get you close to being on one. As the crew scheduler, it is your duty to draw up the shift roster for the flight crew and keep track of their flying time. What's even more exciting is that it is your responsibility to develop the flight schedules and communicate this schedule with the flight crew.
Your daily duties include undertaking technical crew functions such as flight control, the stationing of flight staff, and ensuring that there is communication between all crew members. In the event of changes made to the flight schedule, it is your responsibility to inform the crewmembers of these changes. Your duty may also be extended to arranging accommodation for flight crew, if necessary.
Seeing as this is a highly demanding position, you will need to be able to cope under immense amounts of pressure and be adaptable to change. You will also be required to be highly attentive to detail and have exceptional organizational skills. To become a crew scheduler, you must have completed high school and have obtained your school-leaving diploma.
