Position Summary
The Steel Crew Member will assist in raising, placing, and uniting iron or steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks. This position will primarily erect prefabricated metal buildings but may erect conventional structural steel using drawings and templates, hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in raising, placing, and uniting steel girders, beams, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures.
Assist with rigging of materials to crane.
Assist with the installation of exterior siding, roofing, and steel trim.
Operating heavy equipment including, but not limited to: aerial boom lifts, rough terrain forklifts, and scissor lifts.
Operating hand power tools including, but not limited to: screw gun, drill, shears, nibblers, etc.
Unload and stage steel materials for the building
Use levels and laser equipment to verify alignment.
Position steel with spud wrenches.
Effective communication with on-site foremen regarding steel progress and safety; update the foreman of any foreseeable structural issues.
Adhere to and enforce all safety standards per the Safety & Health Manual
Maintain organized and clean job site throughout the project.
Participate in and promote the safety culture.
Maintain all necessary job-related certifications.
Other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Deck Crew are expected to perform each and every duty and obligation with due diligence and to the best of their knowledge, skill, judgment, and ability. The Deck Crew is expected to devote such amounts of time, energy and skill as may be necessary to perform the duties required hereunder. Hours are dependent on performance times and include evenings and weekends. Training (an internship) is available to those with an interest, but little or no experience.
Deck Crew opportunities, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Move set pieces and props as directed by the Stage Manager and other authorized technical personnel
Timely attendance at all technical rehearsals and dress rehearsals, performances, and photo calls
Meeting with theater personnel, the Producer, the Board of Directors and/or others as designated by the Artistic Director
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to pay attention and follow verbal directions
Has appropriate physical strength/condition to perform physical tasks such as moving scenery and properties
Strong communication skills
Knowledge / background experience with running crew is a plus, but not required
Carpentry skills a plus
Cultural competency. The ability to interact with people of different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds effectively with understanding and tolerance
REPORTS TO:The Deck Crew reports directly to the Equity Stage Manager and the Deck Crew Manager. Final employment authority is with the Producer.
COMMITMENT: This is a non-union position running for the productions Into The Woods and Once(Subject to change). It is a temporary seasonal, part-time hourly position. It is possible to hold this position for more than one production per season. Each production contract is 4 weeks in length.

Position Summary
The Carpentry Crew Member will require skill and experience levels greater than a general laborer, but less than a lead carpenter or foreman. Will use drawings and templates, hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to complete daily tasks.
Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge of construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety.
Proficiency in the following tasks: stain-grade trim work, hang doors, drill and set door hardware, set windows, layout for stairs and common rafters and utilize appropriate math skills.
Ability to read blueprints.
Effective communication with on-site foremen regarding carpentry progress and safety; update the foreman of any foreseeable issues.
Adhere to and enforce all safety standards per the Safety & Health Manual
Maintain organized and clean job site throughout the project.
Participate in and promote the safety culture.
Maintain all necessary job-related certifications.
