The Maajii-akii-gikenjigewin crew will work to conserve and restore rivers, wetlands, watersheds, forests, and other important ecosystems within the FDL reservation; expand access to the outdoors for FDL band members; engage Tribal youth in conservation work to prepare them for careers in natural resources; and support the conservation plans of FDL Resource Management, with a focus on locally led and designed conservation efforts that support and respect Tribal sovereignty and cultural knowledge. By the end of the term, the entirety of the crew will have a wide breadth of understanding of management activities occurring within the FDL Reservation and ceded territories, and be prepared for future careers in a variety of fields occurring within resource management at a local, state, and federal level. Description: This role will be working to assemble our construction modules which will blend Construction in a Production environment. Crew Members will be responsible for but not limited to: operating equipment, or building according to construction plans to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met. Including read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures to completion. Responsibilities: Follows directing of Crew Leader and guidance of more experienced crew members, mentor that align with work process and production activities. Perform assigned work according to methods coaching and guidance asking for assistance or guidance with unfamiliar tasks. Coordinate work activities with other production construction crew member and crew leads. Evaluate projects to determine compliance with technical specifications. Inspect equipment or tools to be used in construction and monitor and ensure proper safety protocols are in place and being followed. Provide plant manager with regular updates in regard to crew member attendance, performance, and crew production construction KPI's. Assist in crew member recruitment and interview process by engaging with candidates on the production floor.
