As a Crew Team Member of Rusty Taco, you will provide outstanding customer service to all guests while taking orders, preparing food, ensuring food quality, and maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant. To be successful in this position, you will be courteous, and friendly, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Duties & Responsibilities: Ensures that all guests always feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service. Answers any questions the guest may have; informs guests of any specials or promotions; upsells and makes recommendations. Responsible for entering orders accurately into POS system and taking credit cards and cash, providing correct change for customers, and working with manager to handle, record, and store cash correctly. Maintains cleanliness of the entire restaurant; ensures that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurants preventative maintenance program. Embraces training to have a clear understanding and the ability to perform every job in the restaurant. Fills in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. Ensures that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards. Consistently complies with all health and food safety regulations. Demonstrates a strong work ethic, communication skills, dependability, ability to take direction; be a team player; maintains an energetic and positive attitude; acts professionally; is punctual, reliable, and above all, honest. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. 1-2 years of experience in a food service or retail environment is preferred, but not required. Must obtain Food Handler/Food Safety certification within 90 days of hire. May require obtaining Responsible Alcohol Certification. Position Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to reach and move items from as high as six feet and as low as six inches off the ground. Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 6 hours without a break. Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction to make correct change. Ability to use hands, arms, shoulders, and back to build menu items for up to 6 hours. Ability to work around industrial-strength cleaners.
