Summary Description:
Under the direction of the Project Administrator, the Transitional Work Crew Trainer is responsible for the oversite of transitional work crew trainees while they are performing program task. Representative Duties:
The following duties are typical for this classification.
* Inspects and prepares transportation vehicles for daily operation requirements, perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and completes required documentation to report any damage or defects of vehicles and associated equipment when applicable. Diagnose and make minor repairs to equipment/vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition.

* Responsible for training work crew on heat and illness prevention, code of safe operating practices, Cal Trans traffic management, Cal Trans protection of workers, safety tailgate meetings, and other various trainings as assigned.
