Job Description The Pick-up & Delivery Merchandising Associate will be responsible for the following tasks: Donation Pick-Up Duties: Pick up donated household items from residential or commercial locations as directed by dispatch. Follow the routing and pick-up schedule to ensure timely service. Provide exceptional customer service, acting as a liaison between donors and the agency. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safe lifting, moving techniques, and loss prevention. Communicate regularly with dispatch, notifying them of any delays or challenges during the pick-up process. Maintain cleanliness in the truck cab and bed. Donation Delivery Duties: Deliver donations to pre-approved locations in line with the daily route plan. Ensure safe lifting and delivery practices are followed for all items, particularly for furniture and household goods. Work with the Housing Team to coordinate deliveries and maintain client confidentiality during the process. Assist in-store with unloading and placing furniture on the sales floor, ensuring an organized and appealing store layout. Remove sold items as directed by the store manager and assist with rearranging items for optimal merchandising. Sort usable donations from trash, maintaining high standards for saleable merchandise. Organize donations and ensure compliance with recycling and textile donation guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse, thrift store garages, and truck areas to prevent hazards and ensure efficient operations. Other Duties: Cooperate with other team members, including employees, supervisors, volunteers, and clients, at all times. Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: 1 year of warehouse or related experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items, adhere to safe lifting practices, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Skills: Strong communication skills, customer service orientation, and ability to work collaboratively with team members. Work Schedule This is a part-time role, working on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
