Crisis Intervention Specialist
Duties: In this role, you will be provide crisis intervention services to individuals in community settings in Licking County. Services being a Public Health Officer, with the ability to write involuntary admissions, and completing Hospital Pre-Screens for Psychiatric admissions or community safety plans, as well as mobile crisis services for children and adults. Each staff is designated a specific shift and location, for a 40 hour work week, with the addition of a one (1), twelve (12) hour On Call shift a month, and on a rotation basis to provide a required holiday coverage, once or twice a year. Staff are compensated for On Call hours and overtime for any worked hours during that On Call shift. Each staff has access to the Crisis Supervisor 365 days of the year, 24/7, for consultation purposes, as well as to team members working the same shift. There are no productivity requirements or on going caseloads, and each day is varied, can be fast paced and often very interesting. 1. Conducts clinical assessments of youth and young adults in the crisis program.
2. Participates in direct supervision of youth.

10. Meets productivity standards relative to shelter census.
11. Makes referrals and recommendations in preparation for client discharge.
12. Fully documents assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans and case notes according to agency and professional standards.
13. Functions as an advocate for youth and families with Children Services, courts and other community agencies.
14. Attends client reviews to update treatment plans and ensure compliance with standards.
15. Attends weekly individual and group supervision, team meetings and required or recommended trainings as assigned by the clinical director.
16. Transports clients in agency-owned or personal vehicle as needed.
17. Serves on an agency committee.
19. Participates in agency on call rotation.
20. Completes other duties as assigned.

SCOPE OF ROLE
Reporting to the Program Manager, Crisis Services, the Counselor, Crisis Services will provide counseling/crisis services and intake assessments to patients experiencing behavioral and emotional difficulties at the local jails, Signature Health locations, client homes, and within the community. The scope of services may be provided either in an individual, group, or family setting. Crisis Services
* Provide crisis and intake assessments at local jails, client homes, and various community settings.
* Provide crisis prescreening and intervention at designated location to determine the appropriate level of care for the safety and welfare of the client and others. This entails providing diagnostic assessment, with a provisional diagnosis, with appropriate disposition within available resources.
* Obtain appropriate "Release of Information" documents at the time of assessment to allow for two way communication with other organizations, providers and contacts. Function as a liaison between agency and other organizations to facilitate client care and aftercare in an expeditions and professional manner.

* Conduct crisis intervention and assessment, and care coordination for both adults and children.
* Actively engage in supervision with the Program Manager, Crisis Services.
* Maintain client charting in accordance with Medicaid, JCAHO, ODADAS, ODMH, CARF and professional standards.
* Prepare all documentation for discharge and aftercare referral.
* Assist in community outreach.
