POSITION SUMMARY The role of the Security Officer is to assure a safe and secure environment for the residents, visitors, staff and property of CRISTA Ministries. This is accomplished by conducting routine random patrol of CRISTA property, responding to and investigation of security related incidents, reporting safety hazards observed during patrol activity, and appropriately documenting actions and observations noted during assigned shift. Identify and report all incidents and hazards in prescribed manner. 3. Respond effectively to instructions given by management and emergency personnel. 4. Provide the highest degree of customer service, determining and responding to the needs of residents, visitors, and staff. 5. Verbally communicate in an appropriate and effective manner. 6. Maintain confidentiality of all private CRISTA-related information, including patient information. 7. Work independently when necessary. 8. Function effectively as part of the Security team. 9. Must be physically able to work, stand, walk, and climb stairs for entire shift. Must be able to respond rapidly to emergency situations. 10. Licensure/Certification: Valid Washington State driver's license with clean driving record. Minimum age of 21, per insurance carrier requirements. Software And Equipment Used: Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook. Other Considerations: Ability to interact with people of various cultures and diverse backgrounds. Ability to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers. Positions assigned to CRISTA's Shoreline Campus or Crista Shores will require working in areas with unsupervised access to vulnerable adults through CRISTA's Senior Living Ministry. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience) Experience: One year of security experience. Licensure/Certification: Valid Washington State driver's license with clean driving record. Software and Equipment Used: Basic technical understanding of existing security systems including access control, CCTV, and key control, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook. Ensure the facility is staged properly, lifeguard stations and rotations are set up for success, all necessary equipment and personnel are accounted for. Execute First Aid, CPR, on-land and in-water rescues per American Red Cross Standards and ensure that any relevant documentation is completed. Provide emergency care and treatment as required and or until the arrival of emergency medical services. Attend all headguard meetings and assist in lifeguard in-services. Be prepared to substitute lifeguard shifts when no coverage is present. Ensure that daily/weekly maintenance tasks are completed, reported and signed off by the lifeguard staff. Provide excellent guest service to pool patrons. Update credit cards, accounts, and billing information to the online enrollment system. Train new lifeguards. Abide by the Wave Aquatics Handbook and uphold all staff to the policies and procedures set forth in the Wave Aquatics Handbook. Ensure that all King County Health Department requirements are met. Complete an End of Shift Email. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor. Wave Swim School Responsibilities: Thorough knowledge and understanding of Wave Swim School curriculum (training provided). Supervise, evaluate, and provide feedback to swim instructors. Determine whether or not a student has mastered all the required skills in their level and is ready to advance to the next class. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor. Facility Maintenance Responsibilities: Perform various maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe facility. Monitor pool water chemistry through water testing; ensure that all required chemical checks are taking place and being recorded. Complete required reports and records including incident, accident, theft, vandalism and any other incidents of concern. POSITION SUMMARY The role of the Security Officer is to ensure a safe and secure environment for the residents, visitors, staff, and property of CRISTA Shores. This is accomplished by conducting routine patrols of CRISTA Shores' property, providing residents, staff, and visitors with information and assistance, responding to and investigating security related incidents, monitoring facilities and equipment and responding to unusual activity, responding to urgent and emergency situations in a professional manner, and appropriately documenting actions and observations noted during assigned shift. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS(General overview and may not include all details of responsibilities) DUTIES Perform unassisted routine preventive maintenance and provide and maintain a safe environment by patrolling and monitoring campus grounds and buildings, completing physical security checks, log taking, and monitoring alarm systems. Complete daily tasks IE; transport trash to the dumpster, vacuum public areas, set up and tear down seating in public areas. Monitor essential equipment and facilities, checking and logging important information on designated equipment and responding using company policy to unusual readings. Respond rapidly and appropriately to emergencies by contacting emergency responders when needed as well as using first aid and/or CPR training. Assist residents, staff and visitors in a calm and professional manner. Identify and respond to incidents, hazards and unauthorized activity in a prescribed manner and contact appropriate staff to discuss the situation. Take appropriate action and follow facility policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSCHRIST CENTERED Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc). Prayerfully seeks God's will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA. LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION Current valid Washington State driver's license. SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
