Job Summary: Become a superstar Coach at Lil Kickers! Lead fun, structured classes for kids aged 18 months to 9 years old. Youll guide games, activities, and lots of laughter, helping little ones develop in a safe and fun environment.

Responsibilities include providing a quality experience to swimmers, parents, and volunteers that is focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
PROGRAM DELIVERY- Works with Head Coach and Aquatic Coordinator/Director to ensure program quality including: effectively coaching and mentoring swimmers during daily practices and competitive events, and collecting and analyzing data when appropriate.
MEMBER SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT-Act intentionally to connect people with the Y cause through our service and engagement principles; Welcome, Connect, Support, Invite. Contributes to the culture of service by knowing names and demonstrating servant leadership characteristics.
FACILITY- Keeps work area and equipment clean, clutter free and functionable. Records and reports all needed maintenance or repairs.
RISK MANAGEMENT- Knowledgeable of and follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to facility use, medical, disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies. Completes Incident Reports accurately.
BUDGET-Is a good steward of YMCA and team resources, uses resources responsibly and sustains the Y's nonprofit business model to ensure revenue/expense and program services goals are achieved.
ANNUAL CAMPAIGN-Supports YMCA and team fund raising activities and special events.

Swim Coach - Geauga YMCA

Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, the Swim Team Coach provides leadership in the preparation, planning, and operation of swim team practices at their assigned branch while coordinating with the other branch for competitive meets. Responsibilities:
Build effective, authentic relationships with swimmers and encouraging parental support and involvement
Identify and recruits potential volunteers
Instruct and provide feedback on technique, allowing for movement up through the swim team groups
Provide leadership and direction for assistant coaches and support volunteers.

The Schedule:
The majority of classes happen in the mornings or early afternoon, The ideal candidate would have the availability on some of the days and times listed below:
Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:00pm
Weekends: 9:00-12:00
Note that you do not need availability during all of these times, we work together to determine the schedule that works best
The Locations:
Classes are held across schools, parks, and recreational centers. Coaches are expected to travel up from 5 mins to an hour to get to a class location. Admin staff will staff coaches in the closest locations.
Coaches are expected to arrive 15 minutes before classes start, and are paid 15 mins beforehand and 15 minutes afterwards, 30 mins extra per shift.

Hours can be anywhere from 5 hours-20 hours per week
Coaches hold on to sports equipment
Patience is a key attribute for success in this role. We are teaching sports, nutrition and muscle groups to 2 - 8 year olds using fun activities.
