Crossland Construction company history timeline
In 1977, Ivan sells his share of SEK and starts Crossland Construction.
In 1990, Ivan Crossland Sr., diagnosed with cancer, began to train his six sons to take over the company.
While still chief executive officer, Crossland Sr. launched Crossland Heavy Contractors with the help of his sons in 1993.
A Crossland tradition started in 1994, the sixth annual Superintendents Retreat is held, where employees enjoy recreational and team building experiences.
Ivan Crossland Sr. died of cancer in 2002.
Other celebrations this year: Crossland is awarded the Greenest Office in Northwest Arkansas for our sustainability program, the Kansas Governor’s Award of Excellence and the Kansas 2008 Business Appreciation Award for Successful Workplace Practices.
In 2019, the company ranked 69th in Engineering News–Record’s Top 400 Contractors.
