Typical Duties include but are not limited to: * Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes. * Prepare sketches showing locations of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, insuring that completion of future walls, ceilings and flooring. * Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit, using such tools as saws, pipe threading machine, and conduit bender. * Pull wiring through conduit assisted by a helper or craft. * Splice wires by stripping insulation away from terminal leads with knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps. * Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, using hand tools. * Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels. * Connect power cables to equipment such as electric motors, and installs grounding leads. * Test continuity of circuitry of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, battery, and buzzer, and oscilloscope. * Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. * May supervise or repair faulty equipment or systems. Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment, with 2 years' experience in Supervision Experience using both DC and AC motors, VF drives and controlled systems (Allen Bradley preferred). Background in Programmable Logic Controllers, computer systems and electronics. Experience in design, repair, and analysis of electrical systems. Must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies. Functional and usable knowledge of use of multi-meter/Amp meter/ Megger to include but not limited to AC voltage/DC voltage continuity checks, amp testing, and insulation testing. High voltages experience 220-480 VAC. 12-24VDC control voltage troubleshooting experience. Signal voltage 0 - 10VDC and 4-20 MA. Ability to read and understand US, and European schematics.
