Role Summary:
The Customer Service Agent is responsible for assisting guests with travel needs at Alaska Airlines (AS). As a member of the passenger service team, this individual contributor role responds to guest inquiries and performs various tasks in ticketing, check-in, and boarding areas. This is a union represented position.
Key Duties:
Assist guests with travel needs (e.g., answering inquiries, ticketing, checking-in passengers, and boarding flights) in a fast-paced environment.
Sell tickets and ensure cabin accommodations.
Perform computer, iPad and paperwork tasks.
Evaluate and prepare flights by arranging seat assignments and load, coordinating special meals, and upgrades.
Perform boarding and gate duties (e.g., checking flight tickets, assisting and directing passengers, making announcements, checking aircraft, and confirming cabin security).
Process and secure passenger luggage.
At the direction of management, may be assigned to perform duties of varying capacities to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

About The Role - Millwright/Diesel Mechanic (Salcha, AK)
We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a Millwright/Diesel Mechanic within our Orica USA Commercial team.
This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and mobile machinery. Duties include maintaining and repairing large-scale industrial and mining equipment, including loaders, forklifts, and other mobile units to ensure maximum uptime, optimal performance, safety, and reliability.
In addition, this role will support and operate the manufacturing facilities safely, efficiently, and effectively to address production and distribution requirements. This position will also provide a quality service in the manufacture of bulk emulsions to our customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

Monday thru Thursday
6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
12-hour shifts with availability for emergency callouts
What you will be doing
Repair and maintain heavy mobile equipment such as loaders, prime movers, telehandlers, and forklifts.
Diagnoses and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on mobile and stationary equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on mobile machinery to reduce downtime.
Conduct precision alignments and component replacements for gearboxes, bearings, and drive systems.
Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints for complex repairs.
Collaborate with operations to schedule repairs and minimize production impact.
Maintain accurate records in CMMS for all maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all tasks.
Assist in the as-needed plant operation and support.
Coordination and completion of maintenance inspections on plant pump units
Assist manager and team with all aspects of maintenance for the facility and plant.
Provide feedback to management on common mode failures and communicate appropriate actions back to regional operations.
Regional equipment documentation kept up to date in SAP.
Assist the regional Technical Services team with basic fieldwork.
Maintain inventory of parts and equipment and schedule maintenance.
The position may require out-of-state travel, mostly by air. Occasional (as necessary only) overnight stays for training
What you will bring
Minimum of 5 years of Millwright, mechanical, or relevant experience
At least 5 years of light vehicle or diesel mechanic experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of:
Hydraulic systems (including troubleshooting and component rebuilds)
Diesel engines and powertrains
Electrical systems on mobile equipment
Skilled in welding, fabrication, and rigging
Ability to operate diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments.
Familiarity with mining or heavy industrial environments preferred.

This 1,200 acre property in Davant, Louisiana is capable of extensive loading, discharging and storage - with deep-water docks, fleeting capacity for 500 barges and over 40 pieces of heavy equipment to handle cargo loads.
Since the acquisition, HOST has made extensive improvements in systems and equipment, making the facility safer, more environmentally friendly, and more efficient to better serve our customers.
Position Summary: Responsible for safe navigation, and vessel & crew management, of push boats at United Bulk Terminals- Davant. Captains will coordinate and execute a rigorous daily schedule to support the facility, and customer needs as well as supervise daily, routine and emergency vessel maintenance.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for the safe and reliable daily operation of their tug
Serve as primary tug vessel operator, safely maneuvering tug and barge(s) throughout the UBT fleet
Direct deckhands in docking & undocking maneuvers
Maintain tug records including vessel logbook and HELM
Coordinate and conduct scheduled drills with tug, crew and port captain

In 2019, T. Parker Host acquired United Bulk Terminals (UBT) on Mile 55 of the Mississippi River as one of the largest bulk terminals in the U.S. Gulf, specializing in coal and petcoke. This 1,200 acre property in Davant, Louisiana is capable of extensive loading, discharging and storage - with deep-water docks, fleeting capacity for 500 barges and over 40 pieces of heavy equipment to handle cargo loads.
Since the acquisition, HOST has made extensive improvements in systems and equipment, making the facility safer, more environmentally friendly, and more efficient to better serve our customers.
Position Summary: Responsible for safe navigation, and vessel & crew management, of push boats at United Bulk Terminals- Davant. Captains will coordinate and execute a rigorous daily schedule to support the facility, and customer needs as well as supervise daily, routine and emergency vessel maintenance.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for the safe and reliable daily operation of their tug
Serve as primary tug vessel operator, safely maneuvering tug and barge(s) throughout the UBT fleet
Direct deckhands in docking & undocking maneuvers
Maintain tug records including vessel logbook and HELM
Coordinate and conduct scheduled drills with tug, crew and port captain
Ensure vessels are always clean and well maintained
Ensure daily barge inspection/checklists are being conducted and completed in HELM
Prepare for and participate in USCG required internal and external audits
Responsible for the safe and reliable daily operation of fleet of two (2) assists tugs
Coordinate between boat and shore side staff to ensure safe operation of barge movements in respect to daily schedule, weather, shore side-line handling, assist tug operation, and barge maintenance.
Responsible for deck side consumable and spare part requests.
Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:
Minimum license: 200 Ton Master, inland, with towing and radar endorsement. (100 Tons with towing endorsement considered on a case-by-case basis)
Valid TWIC
Valid US Driver's License
Previous experience as Master of a twin-screw tug engaged in fleet work
Excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively/efficiently with crew members, shore staff, customer, and line handlers via VHF, email, and/or mobile phone
Ability to get along with crew members in confined quarters for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to direct, evaluate, and correct performance of subordinates
Ability to adapt to a variety of schedules and hours
Ability to work 2 weeks on /1 week off schedule (unless otherwise agreed), around the clock shifts and holidays and weekend.
Willingness and ability to be flexible and creative
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook), PDFs, HELM, and use of associated computer, printer/scanner, and work mobile phone.
