This role in summary We're looking for Material Handlers to operate power vehicle equipment in accordance with company regulations, requirements and safety instructions. Follow standard delivery schedules/routes throughout the plant. Perform routine maintenance and equipment reporting as required. Our material handlers include material tugger drivers, forklift operators, line side kitters, supermarket pickers, clamp and reach truck drivers. Wage rate is $20.25 an hour. 3rd shift premum is $1.00 per hour. Your responsibilities will include * Receives verbal or written instruction from departmental supervisor, area supervisor, or expeditors as to work assignments. * Must be able to communicate and receive communications regarding safety components and job instruction. * Works from printed/digital manifest for picking orders. * Picks up, transports, and positions or tiers a variety of parts or materials as directed. * As required, selects, hunts, or sorts material to be moved. * Returns empty containers of various types to predetermined locations. * Submits written reports pertaining to condition of vehicle, I.e. gas, water, oil, hydraulic pressure, general operating condition, etc. * Changes propane gas tanks as required, uses correct clamping pressure, following established procedures. * Exercises care of product quality in transporting or stacking material. * Transports, changes, moves, loads, or unloads material from container to container or forks as required, manually or utilizing material handling equipment. * Does miscellaneous off truck material handling as required. * Must work the required number of hours as determined by department, shift and position. * Performs duties of a similar or lesser skill to facilitate the flow of work in the department. * Successfully complete company training/safety program. Etc. * Break down and store metal and plastic Bulk Racks * Stretch wrap pallets of product coming from finishing * Load finished goods onto trucks for DC as needed * Unload trailers as required * Pull QA's MPI sample list and return when finished * Pull edited rolls from the editor (Finishing pick up rolls from Editor and put them away, Coating Drop off rolls to be run to the editor) * Remove Scrap from Finishing- Replace Gaylord and scrap racks * Pick up and transfer material racks, pallets, and other consumable supplies to/from production areas as required. * Bring empty racks to DUSE as needed for specific orders (Modagrfix, Liner / face jobs) Remove racks and Pallets of finished a Goods from DUSE when finished as needed * Replenish cores at MU2 when asked by the operator * Remove scrap and broken pallets from Finishing floor (and anywhere else they find them). Stack them properly and load them onto scrap truck * If RCRA Certified- be available to unload and put away Totes if no other DOT Cert. drivers are available * Operate floor scrubbing machine and clean floor in finishing department at least * Keep all fire doors, exits clear. Keep material from being stored in front of Electrical panels or on walkways.-Generally move things that are out of place. * Perform complete and accurate inventory transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System. * Consolidate 15,000 racks * Maintain good housekeeping throughout the site * Support all 5S housekeeping activities. * Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. The Team Members We're Looking For... In this role, you will develop skills in warehouse operations related to both production and vendor products. This includes: Working the main receiving dock and managing the final disposition of products. Receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials. Distribution of finished goods. Daily responsibilities will include: Receiving, identifying, and verifying incoming materials from production and/or outside vendors, and storing them in appropriate locations according to specifications and department guidelines. Distributing and/or storing items per department guidelines and specifications. Accurately processing and maintaining all related documentation, both via PC and handwritten. Utilizing appropriate material handling equipment to load and/or unload truckload carriers as per specifications. Preparing orders for shipment according to instructions and specifications, including pallet labeling, consolidation, or stretch wrapping. Maintaining inventory as per department guidelines. Responding to all inter-company requests for materials and material counts, serving as a resource for team members and others in resolving related issues and problems. As a member of a production support team, training, assisting, and supporting other team members in problem-solving and achieving department goals. Continuously reviewing current processes and seeking improvement methods to enhance product/process quality, reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that does not add value.
