    Duties And Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Multi-Skilled Repairman's responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: * Troubleshoots, operates, repairs, adjusts, and maintains all related equipment, mechanical and electrical, involved with running production. * Develops standard operating procedures. * Provides training for equipment operation. * Lubricates and cleans parts, installs, sets up and operates all types of equipment and machine tools. * Performs any dismantling, fitting or assembly work required for maintenance. * Practices and reinforces all safety practices and procedures. * Participates on safety and KATA improvement teams. Perform other work which may be assigned by Supervisor. * Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized. * May be required to work in various departments and to perform other duties as required or assigned. Job Requirements Qualifications: In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following: Minimum Requirements * Previous working experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment. * Proven work experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and working with tools and machinery. * Safety-oriented. * Must be able to work 8-12 hour rotating shifts. * Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and/or overtime as needed. * Mechanical and electrical experience. Preferred Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent. * Electrical knowledge/troubleshooting skills. * Electronic experience as well as PLC and VFD experience. * Ability to read blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required. * Experience with safety guards, limit switches, lock-out/tag-out, proper use of hand and power tools, confined space and hot work permits. * Welding experience. * Air compressor maintenance experience. * Forklift operation experience. Role Summary: The Mechanical Field Service Technician troubleshoots and repairs Flowserve's pumps and equipment for our customers in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, and wastewater industries. This challenging position requires an experienced mechanic who can provide confident expertise in the face of operational problems. The Mechanical Field Service Tech will repair and install equipment, oversee start-up, conduct maintenance, and monitor the performance of our products at our customers' locations. While the Tech may be the only Flowserve representative on site, the Tech can call upon the resources of Flowserve's Field Service Team to ensure that our products are operating at peak performance. Flowserve counts on the Field Service Tech to be an indispensable resource to our customers, creating a lasting competitive advantage for our products and services. Locations: Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, NE area. This position requires to work 90% of the time in the field, but mostly will travel for short trips (2 to 4 days during the week). Only twice a year it might be required to be away for 3 weeks at a time (1 in spring and the other one in the fall). Responsibilities: Make direct, in-person service calls in response to customer requests. Assess mechanical problems and take actions to resolve promptly. Work side-by-side with our customer's personnel, and lead work crews as required. Oversee the full cycle of repair: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly. Ensure that equipment is installed successfully and on schedule. Check equipment prior to start-up and assess start-up performance. Monitor the maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment. Train customers in the proper procedures for operating and maintaining Flowserve products. Collaborate with Flowserve Sales Engineers to ensure a coordinated approach to serving our customers. Collaborate effectively with the supporting organizations of Flowserve, including the repair centers, customer service, and sales engineering. Able to explain mechanical problems and articulate the thinking process behind recommendations. Must be good at complex problems at technical level. Capable in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Skilled at writing clear, concise emails with a professional tone Must be able to travel and spend time in the field 90% of the time. Potentially resets the robotic arm after clearing jam. * Has the ability to work multiple lines at the same time that are automated (palletizer, robotic pack arm, etc.). * Assists with training new employees. * Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device. * Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
