SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Logistics Coordinator proactively supports operations and customer support activities in their assigned area(s). Identifies critical items before they impact the completion of production and maintenance schedules. Provides customer support to various areas within the Supply Chain group. Trains and mentors new employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Storeroom: Performs daily Picklist-Pull Inventory and stages for production. Issues kits, parts and tools from counter or to production floor. Performs daily transfers of parts from internal job to job for the shop support. Pulls in-house requisitions to fill demand from production. Restocks pre-pick bins on the production floor. Retrieves off-units from production, inspects, and routes to the Warehouse. Retrieves and processes incoming Outside Service parts, Work Order and paperwork. Returns parts and tools at counter and reshelves. Runs ERP In-Transit report and verifies items have been issued. Performs daily inventory cycle counts for accuracy. Maintains customer requirements in inventory accuracy and parts segregation. Performs inspection of flammable cabinets and partial racks for expired shelf-life items. Runs and processes Expired Materials report. Performs stores and warehouse internal inspections in preparation for live audits. Puts away BFG New Receipt inventory. Transfers and puts away stock from receiving. Pulls stock transfers in CFE-ERP system to ship to other locations. Monitors email requests to close CFE-RO's and transfers to receiving for inspection and tag. Tooling & Calibration: Moves tooling and transports product using forklift. Issues kits, parts and tools from counter or to production floor. Returns parts and tools at counter and reshelves. Builds tooling kits or consolidates tools for production. Performs stores and warehouse internal inspections in preparation for live audits. Processes Gateway tooling demand and orders as required. Prepares and assembles tools for shipment to other sites. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two (2) years of inventory handling and control or warehouse operation experience required, including operation of trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts. Forklift certification required (must obtain certification within 60 days of hire). 49CFR and IATA dangerous goods training (compliant to ATS requirements within 30 days of hire). Valid state driver's license required for the areas of Operation Support Representative, Warehouse HPD Clerk, and Tooling & Calibration Clerk. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. Compensation The base pay range for this position is $22.00-$30.00 hourly, not including bonuses or benefits. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus. Secure outside carriers for available Bennett loads. Negotiate rate of pay and secure signed rate confirmation. Follow Up with carriers on pickup, delivery, and obtain signed proof of delivery for billing purposes. Duties: Secure outside carrier equipment for available Bennett loads. Contact 1-outside carriers on any and all loads made available to brokerage by agents and or Bennett dispatch. Use DAT Services to find posted/available equipment. Dispense all necessary information to carrier for loading/unloading purposes. Negotiate rate of pay that will fall within Bennett standards. Rate of pay may vary based on the importance of a particular load. Send rate confirmation to carrier with any specifics that may pertain to a particular load. Follow up to assure that a signed rate confirmation has been returned by carrier. Setup new carriers...sending contract and associated profile to carrier for purpose of adding that carrier to Bennett system as an active carrier. Making sure that carrier is aware of and understands Bennett policies. Billing Freight Coordinators need to follow up with carriers that they have booked loads with in order to insure prompt pickup and timely delivery of Bennett loads and to obtain signed proof of delivery which will assist the department in meeting its billing requirements.

Primary function of this position is to ensure proper management of the company assets including, but not limited to drivers, equipment and resources such as outside carriers for the safe and efficient movement of freight following all established processes and procedures. The position requires professional communications, computer and presentation skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: The Logistics Specialist will monitor and manage assigned carriers, equipment and drivers to implement customer plans, routes, schedules for the pick up and delivery of freight and to create on-demand solutions to meet customer needs and request for additional, extra, and expedited services.. Responsible for the management of driver accountability and assignment as it relates to DOT compliance, CTPAT compliance, operations, equipment usage, company policies and discipline for violation of same. Works with customers, vendors, management and drivers to problem solve issues that arise throughout the shift Responsible for the efficient and timely entry of all company and customer related data into the company transportation software and/or related software in transportation department. Updates key transportation software database files with customer, EDI, carrier, vehicle, and driver information. Works cross departmentally to execute network driver capacity plans while eliminating long-term and short-term imbalances and ensures customer service commitments are met. Ensures proper chain of communication to and from co-workers, carriers, customers, shippers, suppliers notifying the supervisor or manager on duty ensuring prompt escalation of service issues or safety related concerns to team for resolution. Works closely with the Load Planners/Logistics Engineers to ensure the customer?s needs are being met including the communication of essential of pick up and delivery information to the customer, carriers, and drivers. Works with safety and compliance, recruiting and human resources to exceed driver retention and safety targets. Reports all accident and incidents related driver injuries, equipment, cargo and property damage, and driver safety concerns to the to the proper operations management and Safety Department. Ensures all department required forms and documents are completed in a timely basis. Responsible for achieving the assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPI?s) goals, including but not limited to, loaded miles percentage, on-time service, asset utilization, scanning accuracy, deadhead avoidance, dwell minimization, TMW accuracy and fuel efficiency within their control. Responsible for knowledge, compliance and enforcement of BLS policies, procedures, DOT and OSHA safety rules and regulations including strict adherence to C-TPAT best practices. Follows all workplace processes and standards in support of the ISO-9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and OHSAS 18000:2007 Required to attend and complete all assigned company development, safety and compliance training.
