Fork Truck Operator - Off Shift - Shipping Team $22.31 Hour to train plus shift differential Opportunity summary: As Forklift Driver in our busy shipping bay or warehouse, you will be responsible for operating industrial forklift to track load and/or unload trucks for delivering the units to customers according to their requirements. You will also keep accurate tally of what is shipped to customers. We are a high-volume manufacturing plant, and you will be part of a team that loads up to 60 trailers a day. You will also be responsible for all activities associated with safely operating the forklift in addition to participating in cross training efforts and sharing duties with other drivers. Our forklift drivers may also operate our banding machines to ensure pallets are ready to load. This is a union facility and we work 8-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts if OT is required. OT is paid at time and ½ for over 40 hours worked. Our plant is not climate controlled. Act as a liaison between the Warehouse Department and Customer Service Department regarding any issues that might impact customer service expectations. Troubleshoot all Warehouse Department processes to identify weaknesses and recommend policies to strengthen controls and meet the department's priorities. Substitute for hands-on work as needed. Set deadlines to ensure timely completion of the workload. Ensure that daily housekeeping of the Warehouse Department is carried out. Execute daily and weekly reporting of KPI's and various Ops related data to Warehouse Manager, Site Leader and regional VPO. REQUIRED SKILLS: Minimum of 3 years of warehouse supervisory or lead experience in a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment.
