Crystal Lake Middle School company history timeline
By November 1883, work began on the building’s interior.
The first day of school was April 17, 1884.
In 1906 a second Union School building was built, also on this site, but further east.
Crystal Lake Middle School opened in 1965 in the Combee Settlement area of Lakeland, FL. Originally named Crystal Lake Junior High, our mascot is the Mighty Mustang.
In 1985, the school was renamed Husmann Elementary School in honor of John Husmann.
