SUMMARY:
The Senior Construction Manager (SCM) provides leadership, direction, and oversight during all phases of construction on/and around multiple operational jobsites. This is a multifaceted position with a wide range of responsibilities, including leading a team of construction managers and field engineers. The SCM serves as an industry expert to aid and assist CSM construction managers in all aspects of construction, safety, and CSM procedures. The SCM demonstrates mastery of all skills and competencies of the construction manager and field engineer roles and is responsible for developing the corresponding abilities of the team. The SCM will also develop and nurture client relationships and is responsible for securing and managing the workload of the team. The SCM will ensure that the client's highest expectations are met on all projects by guiding the team to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. In addition, the SCM will promote and advocate CSM culture and operational KPI's to establish a good working relationship on all job sites and amongst stakeholders.
This is a full-time FLSA non-exempt position. The position requires 40 work hours per week with the ability to work more if necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads with safety: Prioritizes and advocates for safety above all else
Client relationships and business development
Manages client relationships with an emphasis on securing upcoming work and reviewing the performance of personnel.
Receives client feedback positively while constructively addressing any issues internally with teammates
Responds to client RFPs with budgetary or formal proposals for construction management
Identifies personnel needs for each project and distributes project workload to the execution teams accordingly.
Meets with potential clients, architects, trades, etc. to explain CSM services and approach

Develops personal relationships with all direct reports.
Provides professional guidance and mentoring to construction managers and field engineers

Trains new hires on CSM and client processes
Ensures quality delivery of construction management services
Supports CM team in the management of project budget, schedule, scope, quality, and other concerns
Ensures proper communication and coordination of all construction tasks with all relevant stakeholders on an active manufacturing site
Hosts or oversees all project meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
Develops project execution strategies for and with the CM team
Assists project team in site logistics planning to improve construction efficiency and productivity.
Acts first and foremost as an owner's representative in all interactions. Supports resolution of disputes between trades, architects, and clients for fair, but firm, outcome for all parties.
Understands and reinforces permit requirements for construction projects as stipulated by client and applicable AHJ
Performs job site visits to conduct safety inspections, quality inspections, and support team in achieving client objectives
Audit the project team's utilization of Procure to verify documentation of all appropriate project controls
Manage change control with client and execution team; provide change orders for CM team as needed
Ensures project punch list completion and construction closeout are completed efficiently to the satisfaction of the client
Identifies and understands all owner requirements to complete a project, including support of safety startup reviews, automation, equipment startup, commissioning, etc.
Trade Procurement - Execute or direct team to perform the following:
Review and understand design documents to provide relevant bid documents and scope clarifications to bidders
Lead pre-bid meetings and walk-downs.
Manage bid RFI and overall bidding process
Conduct and document post-bid interviews
Create bid tabulation with alternates and bid leveling as needed to provide recommendations to owner
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Skilled in Microsoft Project
Highly proficient in construction schedule development using CPM, capable of mentoring others to improve construction schedules
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Proficient in Procore or equivalent construction project management software
Competent professional writing skills to communicate with clients and generate budgetary and formal proposals
Capable of managing multiple project budgets simultaneously
Minimum of 7 years' experience in Construction Management position (with relevant degree) or
Minimum of 15 years' experience in lead Construction Management position (without relevant degree)

SUMMARY:
The Construction Superintendent will oversee and coordinate daily construction activities in an active project setting to assure the seamless and successful execution of project objectives. The Superintendent will work with the project director and/or project manager to develop execution strategies, schedules, and detailed plans to safely and efficiently execute project field work to meet client, business, and project milestones.
The Superintendent will provide technical support and knowledge to on-site trade personnel of varying trade disciplines and will demonstrate proficiency in the processes and methodologies to successfully complete site-specific work. This will include technical trade knowledge and aptitudes favoring means & methods, site/trade coordination, complex installations, logistics, schedule management, site safety and field quality assurance. The Superintendent must possess the ability to determine whether installations conform to all applicable drawings and specifications and implement corrective actions for any non-conformities.
The Superintendent must also possess leadership and management qualities; both are required to be successful in the role. As a leader, the Superintendent must have effective communication skills to build consensus with project team members and stakeholders. The Superintendent is responsible for documenting daily field activities that include photographs, manpower reports, delays, daily reports, safety observations, conversations, deliveries, and all other activities that are necessary to maintain a complete and accurate record of the project's progress and activities.
The Superintendent reports directly to the Senior Construction Manager or Project Manager onsite and ultimately the Project Director.
This is a full-time, FLSA exempt position and requires at least 40 hours per week with the ability to work more if necessary. This position will require the ability to travel to a number of our project sites located in the SW Michigan region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all on-site construction functions in accordance with the established precedents, policies, procedures, systems, and requirements established by CSM Group.
Demonstrates mastery in the construction project workflow and plans accordingly.
Identifies risks that may jeopardize the project's timely or safe completion and mitigates risk.
Attends Project Coordination/Preconstruction Meetings and provides constructability input.
Reviews Bid Documents and Bid Review Documents to gain scope familiarity.
Participates in Pre-Bid Meetings and Post-Bid Interviews.
Coordinates and chairs a project kickoff meeting prior to subcontractor mobilization.
General safety supervision and awareness with the support of safety specialists.

Manages and Updates Project Master Schedule and 3-week look-ahead schedule regularly
Drives outcomes in the field to support the schedule's milestones

Daily review and authorization of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms, hot work permits, confined space, crane lift plans and inspections, etc.
Quality Control Inspections
Coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction for permit issuance and signoff.
Facilitates Progress Meetings among trades and applicable stakeholders.
Leverages available Business Technology platforms to maximize efficiency, including Procore, BlueBeam, MS Teams, MS OneNote, MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Smart Phone Applications, iPads, etc.
The proficient and effective use and navigation of IT tools, software, dashboards, and other technology platforms is a requirement.
Monitors performance, progress, and manpower issues; resolves as necessary.
Performs other duties as mandated by the Senior PM/CM and Project Director.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
At least 8 years of related construction management experience within heavy construction, preferably for a Construction Management, General Contracting, or trade contracting firm.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is a plus, but not required assuming a combination of relevant education and experience that is commensurate with the duties/responsibilities outlined.
Knowledge of building codes (IBC, NEC, ASME, UMC, NFPA, etc.) is highly desirable.
Trade certifications and licenses are desirable.
Proven track record of solid safety implementation and successful safety
performance record.
Completion of OSHA 30-hour training program is desirable.
Experience with projects valued at more than $25,000,000 is highly desirable.
Minimum Training on Utilizing Equipment, such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, fork trucks, etc.

This is a blended role that consists of 40% driving and 60% physical work related to the installation of blasting products. Responsibilities include product loading, driving a CDL truck, pulling hoses, and climbing on and off the truck in all types of weather conditions.
Additionally, this role will operate plant and equipment to provide blasting products while assisting in delivering a high-quality service of bulk explosives to customers. We prioritize safety and strive to ensure that all operations are always conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

What you will be doing
This is a hybrid position, consisting of approximately 40% driving and 60% physical work.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking and refilling fluid levels.
Ability to safely hook up and unhook trailers
Operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks as part of daily responsibilities.
Ensure raw materials and hazardous goods are handled, stored, and used in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and control practices.
Immediately report any unusual incidents or accidents.
Actively participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings to promote a safe and collaborative work environment.
What you will bring
Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or material handling (preferred).
Solid understanding of DOT regulations (required).

Frequent shoveling of gravel to fill drilled holes throughout the day.
Regular pushing and pulling while working with equipment.
Other physical activities include frequent bending, squatting, and general mobility throughout the workday.

SUMMARY:
The Safety Specialist is ultimately responsible for monitoring and executing an effective, safe workplace in compliance of safety, health, and the environment. This position will provide overall leadership, professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of Health and Safety processes to include regulatory agency compliance, company policies and human capital development.
This position reports to the Director of Field Safety for administrative purposes, but closely collaborates with the safety team, Senior PMs, PM/CM, and PE's to coordinate program efforts and outcomes. This position requires daily travel to jobsites.

Program Management (50%)
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local legislation and codes governing construction site environmental health and safety.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

SUMMARY:
The Construction Project Engineer (CPE) provides project management and administrative support on one (or more) projects. The CPE performs daily and/or weekly site inspections for safety and quality purposes and writes required daily and/or weekly reports based on inspections. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre-Construction Activities
Understand customer specific requirements and assist in preparing pre-construction analysis during project Design & Development.
Develops scope specification documents and organizes all related files for future work use including design elements and implementation procedures.
Creates and updates project schedules, phasing plans, and site logistics.
Creates and monitors project submittal logs.
Responsible for review, input, and distribution of bidder's requests for information (BRFI's).
Solicit proposals/bids from subcontractors and vendors for outsourced projects.

SUMMARY:
The Project Financial Coordinator (PFC) is an integral member of the project team and is responsible for project coordination with an emphasis on accounting and budget administration. The PFC handles administrative tasks, such as document and information distribution, financial report collation and communication support throughout the entire life cycle of a project.
The PFC handles the administrative function through all phases of the project delivery process and construction activities and is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the financial activities of the assigned project. They must have the capability to meet schedule and deliverable requirements accurately, promptly and professionally as directed by the Project Director and project teams. The PFC will also collaborate and communicate with vendors/suppliers and contractors during all aspects of the project as needed by the PM to improve the efficiency and reliability of project execution. The PFC must also effectively execute coordination and communications with the project team to assure schedule targets and assigned deliverables are completed in a timely manner.
The Project Financial Coordinator reports to the Operations Director.. They will also have substantial interaction with and receive direction from Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and other project team members. SUMMARY:
The Project Manager (PM) will oversee daily construction activities in our commercial spaces. The work may consist of quality control, project planning, retrofit, renovations, remodel, process improvement, maintenance, facilities and infrastructure projects and/or construction turnaround and shutdowns. The PM will work with the client's Engineering and Construction Services Departments to develop execution strategies and detailed plans to safely and efficiently execute the work to meet client, business and project objectives. The PM must possess leadership and management qualities; both are required to successfully deliver projects. As a leader, the PM must have effective communication skills to build consensus with project team members and stakeholders. It is the expectation that the PM identify and actively communicate with area stakeholders and invests a significant amount of time to understand interdepartmental dynamics within the organization we're serving, as well as the facility layout. The PM reports directly to the Senior Construction Manager and ultimately the Program Manager.
This is a full-time, FLSA exempt position. It requires at least 40 hours per week with the ability to work more if necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all on site construction functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the Company.
Generates, manages and updates schedules in Microsoft Project.
Effectively forecasts Labor Costs and notifies Senior CM of potential issues.
Proficiently interprets and understands P&ID's, Drawings, Specifications and other relevant Construction Documents.
Manages the quality of installations and their conformity to applicable construction documents.
Validates Change Orders and any T&M work tickets.
Sequences work schedules to mitigate potential delays and identifies schedule risks well in advance of slippages. Implements remedial action to recover lost time.
General safety supervision and awareness with the support of full-time safety specialists.
Completes a Daily Log that includes progress updates & photos, manpower on site, companies on site, daily activities being performed, key deliveries, key discussions, progress/safety issues, etc.
Assists in client procurement activities, including the assembling of Bid Packages and Bid Review.
Facilitates Progress Meetings among trades and stakeholders.
Oversees the seamless function of construction administration duties and the up-to-date flow of project documents and information to required parties.
Coordinates with A/E on field issues and works to resolve problems.
Provides Owner with regular updates, notifies them of issues and communicates regularly to keep them informed.
Uses and is proficient in all applicable modules in the Construction Management platform, Procore. Including uploading, maintaining, using and removing information/documents.
Leverages available Business Technology platforms to maximize efficiency, including Procore, BlueBeam, SharePoint, OneNote, MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Teams, Zoom Meetings, WebEx, Smart Phone Applications (both internally-developed and purchased), iPads, etc. Effective use and navigation of IT tools, software, dashboards and platforms is a requirement.
Supervises all personnel at the site through subordinate leaders. Manages projects indirect overhead budgets, change control and T&M work validation.
Monitors performance, progress and manpower issues; resolves as necessary.
Functions as liaison between the Engineering Department and Construction Execution.
Completes Safe Work Permits, JSA's, HSA's and other safety-related permitting as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
At least 5 years of related CM/PM experience within commercial construction, preferably for a Construction Management or General Contracting firm.
Bachelors in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred but not required, assuming a combination of relevant education and experience commensurate with duties/responsibilities.
Proven track record of solid safety implementation experience and successful safety performance record.
The successful CPM candidate must have recent and broad experience in design and construction within a heavy commercial environment.
Experience with projects valued at $50MM and greater.
Minimum Training on Utilizing Equipment (i.e. man lifts for example)
Understands GMP - Good Manufacturing Practices.
Valued, but not required:
