Purpose of role
Working closely with visual and section editors, the production coordinator will support the delivery of digital journalism across the Guardian and provide expert help and first-line support on our digital tools. This is not a video production role and does not involve filming, editing, or post-production work.
Key responsibilities
Manage daily flow of production requests and queries from editorial and project teams across the Guardian's global production offices.

About the role
The Guardian seeks an experienced, creative and energetic video producer with a proven track record and a passion for news to help build the Guardian's US breaking news and short-form video strategy.
We're seeking a collaborative leader who can build relationships and work closely with global video teams in the UK and Australia, as well as with desks across the US newsroom. They will work closely with the US and global news editors to produce video journalism that serves the Guardian's global audience. Key relationships will include the US digital editors, US news desk editors and the UK video team.
The ideal candidate knows how to move quickly and decisively when news breaks. About the role
The Guardian has a robust collection of award-winning podcasts in the UK, but this will be our first show for an American audience. Working closely with the show's executive producer and deputy EP, the host will be the audience's main connection with our global roster of reporters, editors, and columnists, as well as any outside guests we feature. You'll be a key voice in the development of this show as we figure out how to bring the Guardian's unique voice and global perspective to life.
The ideal host will bring a nimbleness with the news and a deep sense of curiosity about the world, as well as passions you'd like to explore in longform interviews. The show will be run out of our newsroom, but we welcome candidates with strong personalities and points of view they will bring to interviews. Episodes will come out three times a week and be informative and meaningful as well as loose and conversational. We want someone who is comfortable in front of the camera, both in the studio and on social media, who understands that talking about the news requires both urgency and care and a sense of humanity and playfulness. You should be able to write quickly and artfully using that same conversational tone.
Key Responsibilities
Host episodes of a video and audio news podcast
Carry out long-form daily interviews with Guardian journalists and external contributors
Participate in story meetings and pitch ideas for episodes
Work alongside the EP, deputy EP, and producers to structure episodes including: pre-interview discussions, extensive research, writing questions, script writing
Take part in episode editing sessions and provide feedback on interim edits
Ensure episodes meet the highest editorial and legal standards
Attend and contribute to editorial and planning meetings
Work with executive producer and the global head of audio to continue to grow the ambition of the show
Establish and maintain relationships with reporters and writers across the Guardian
Work with social media producer to make social elements to promote the show
Represent the podcast and the Guardian on panels and at live events as required

Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within an automotive or truck dealership, retail, or multi-entity organization.
Solid understanding of dealership accounting operations, including tax compliance (sales tax, FET, and multi-state filings).
Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Karmak preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and financial reporting tools.

The deputy US arts editor will help commission and write the Guardian's US-focused arts and culture coverage. About the role
The Guardian has a robust collection of award-winning podcasts in the UK, but this will be our first show for an American audience.
