Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems; call for service and notify appropriate management when necessary. Enforce magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operators, staff and visitors. Maintain equipment service manual, delivery schedule and all related statistics. Maintain and clean all equipment in accordance with required decontamination procedures. Attend and actively participate in all department, team and/or committee meetings. Comply with all company, department and location specific policies, procedures and mandatory learning requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by radiologist and management. Qualifications Required Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of a certified radiology technologist program required. Current ARRT certification, with advanced certification in MRI required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS required. Minimum 2-year MRI clinical experience preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Detailed knowledge of current MRI scanning and procedures. Working knowledge of current MRI protocols. The CT Tech ensures patient comfort and safety, prepares the imaging equipment, and assists the healthcare team in obtaining diagnostic information. Key Responsibilities: Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and ensuring they are comfortable. Verify patient information, including medical history, allergies, and prior imaging, to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate imaging protocols. Position patients properly on the CT table to obtain the necessary images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. Instruct patients on how to hold their breath or remain still during scans, as required by the procedure. Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols. Administer contrast agents or dye injections (under physician or radiologist guidance) to enhance image clarity during certain CT procedures.
