JOB SUMMARY The CT/XR Registered Technologist is a full-time Technologist and will be responsible for obtaining high quality radiographic images. This role requires competent operation of radiation producing equipment such as portable rad units, XR, to create diagnostic images. You will need a valid Radiologic Technologist license, CT and XR certification to apply for this Radiology Tech position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and be sure they are relaxed and at ease during the exam and provide care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist. Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to establish inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Identifies opportunities for corrective action and process improvement providing recommendations and contributes to meeting department and hospital targets for quality and safety. Reports "near misses" and inputs errors promptly into appropriate hospital patient safety reporting system to improve processes and identify trends.
