Qualifications

Under general supervision, position in this function utilize equipment and computer systems to provide patients with quality digital mammograms. Primary Responsibilities:
Consistently performs high quality digital mammograms
Follows established protocols based on the needs of the individual patient and ordered exam
Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during exam
Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff
Evaluates images for technical quality
Maintains the cleanliness of the mammography machine and associated equipment in accordance with the infection control policies and procedures

As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach; you will provide scanning services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

The MRI TECHNOLOGIST/TECHNICIAN, under the direct supervision of a radiologist, performs quality magnetic resonance imaging scans on patients of all ages.

EDUCATION
Technician: Graduate of an MRI program of study at the associate's degree level. Technologist: Graduate of an MRI program of study at the bachelor's degree level.
LICENSURE
State specific; current and unrestricted license or registration to practice as an MRI technologist/technician in the state of practice, as applicable. ARRT registration.
EXPERIENCE
One year of current MRI technologist/technician experience in the clinical setting.
CREDENTIALS
Current CPR at least; and other health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Various client facility settings; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Complies with ATC policies/procedures.

Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel.
Maintains competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements.
Interviews patient and explains magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
Positions patient on examining table following protocols requested by radiologist.
Enters data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry into the computer.
Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
Monitors patient safety and comfort and views images of area being scanned on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures.

Job Description
A-Team Solutions is seeking (2) Radiologic Technologist for Full time positions for the VA Medical Center in Seattle, WA
Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs.
Possess knowledge of basic emergency situations that may occur during special
radiographic procedures.
Schedule exams and maintain records.
Possess knowledge of various pathological abnormalities as demonstrated by
radiographic imaging.
Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary to
obtain a proper quality diagnostic exam. Receive patients and explain procedures to
alleviate undue anxiety.
Independently perform all radiographic procedures; i.e., chest, bone, skull, spine, and
portable x-rays, etc.
Notify radiologist, or referring physician of any preliminary abnormalities seen while
patient is undergoing an exam, so that additional views, or exams can be ordered if
needed. Coordinate transfer of patient radiologic records to ensure continuity of care.
Work with Clinical Director to ensure monitoring and evaluation activities are completed.
Act as liaison between radiologist and medical staff.
Receive training and orientation and comply with correctional techniques as they pertain
to medical services.
Develop a working knowledge of FCC Oakdale medical protocols.
Wear outer protective clothing and obey Center for Disease Control (CDC) universal
precautions at all times.
Function in other duties commensurate of a Radiological Technology.
Requirements:
· Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
· Must have BLS

Job Summary:
Operates Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment safely and accurately to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis. Work includes 1) preparing and operating MRI equipment, 2) positioning patients correctly and effectively, 3) recording the requested diagnostic images, and 4) sending results to physician for evaluation and diagnosis. Work is performed under the strict safety/regulatory/license departmental standards and protocols.
Incumbents are also accountable for applying knowledge of aseptic technique; maintaining quality control for all imaging equipment; and maintaining knowledge of physics, anatomy, techniques and medical terminology through participating in continuing education, seminars, meetings and in-services.
Your day-to-day work will also include:
* Preparing equipment for imaging tests based on physician's orders and in adherence to department safeguards and protocols to ensure quality results
* Preparing patient and performing MRI procedures
* Maintaining records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements
* Performing incidental general office duties to include answering phones, scheduling, filing, maintaining patient records and ordering supplies
Job Requirements
Education/Experience:
* Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology
* Prior Cardiac and Breast MRI experience preferred but not required.
License/Certification:
* American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) certification is required.
* State of Washington Certification as a Radiological Technologist required unless ARRT(MR) is achieved through the ARRT Primary Pathway.
* ARRT MRI Certification is preferred.
* Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
* MRI Certification pay incentive available
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
