Major Responsibilities:
Competently operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures. Procedures include basic imaging processing, body, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, contrast, orthopedic and extremity.

Roles & Responsibilities
​Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.
Minimum Qualifications
BLS, WI State X-ray License, ARRT
Rotating Shifts: 0700-1530 OR 0800-1630
Every 3rd weekend; EOH - rotating with staff
Call: none; GE CT experience needed - GE scanner experience preferred
May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Within the Imaging Department, under the direction of the Special Imaging Manager, the CTTechnologist operates computerized tomography (CT) scanner to obtain quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Positions patients for procedures, prepares radiopaque media, operates scanner, and manipulates images to better demonstrate anatomical structures. Maintains proper documentation, provides a thorough history, and communicates effectively with the Radiologist.
Requires completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Requires a current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiologic Technologist.
Must be ARRT (CT) certified within 24 months of hire and remain current with this registry.
Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. Six to twelve months of related experience preferred.
Must be able to commit to 16 hours each month outside of Memorial through Labor Day with the commitment of 32 hours a month.

Responsibilities

You will review and complete patient screening forms and properly explain the procedure to the patient
You must maintain excellent patient care, comfort, safety and confidentiality, in addition to maintaining your technical competency through continuing education
Qualifications:

ARRT (MR) registered preferred
You will need to produce quality special imaging with limited supervision, and you must be able to interact in a responsible, professional and ethical manner
