Reviews all new starts for consistency prior to treatment, verifying patient positioning and field orientation, and checking the record and verify system for prescription, treatment parameters, doses, treatment accessories, and monitor units. Performs morning Quality Assurance (QA) on the treatment unit, assessing whether all equipment is operating according to physics policy and calling the appropriate person immediately after equipment malfunctions. Assists in maintaining department supplies and provides supervised education experiences for students that fulfill curriculum requirements of the academic institution. As required by facility, participates in after hours on-call coverage, maintains competency with afterhours treatment coverage, performs 2D treatment calculations, and works with minimal direction and supervision.
