What you will do:
Operates computerized tomo?graphy (CT) scanner to obtain filmed images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, in accordance to Radiologist's direc?tions and established procedures. Positions patients for procedure, administers injections of contrast media, operates scanners to visualize pathologies, manipulates images to find best image possible and reproduces screen images on film. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

What you will do:
Operates MRI equipment to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures. Positions patients administers injections of contrast media and manipulates images to ensure a high quality exam. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
What you will need:

A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher, preferred
Previous MRI experience, required

Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director of Radiology and the technical direction of the Radiologists and the Lead MRI Technologist, performs professional duties as an MRI Technologist. * Operates the magnet properly and with care to ensure the production of a variety of quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging examinations
* Performs MRI examinations in accordance with standards, techniques, and protocols established by the Radiologist to ensure quality standards are met.
* Positions and handles patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, tact, courtesy, patients, and safety.
* Maintains an awareness of patient's physical and emotional condition, recognizes and reports adverse signs to the physicians.
* Assures proper patient identification on all films and complete all paperwork applicable to the examination, i.e. clinical information, history, financial data, insurance data and technical worksheet data, accurately in the abs assists in screening and scheduling of patients.
* Performs office procedure of clerical support personnel and assists other technologists and clinical personnel as needed.

Environmental/Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a temperature controlled environment. Special procedures are required when in the area of super cooled gas storage facility and in the are of the multiple electronic cabinets of the computer. Special precautions are observed and the area is monitored by the technologist to prevent entry in to the magnetic room of unsuspected ferrous objects, which could cause severe projective injury to persons within the room. Work requires walking, pushing, lifting, and carrying MRI equipment and patient transport devices.
Education: Associates degree in an allied health field or a bachelor's degree and certification in another clinical imaging field with six months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR). Or be certified by ARRT and/or appropriate state licensure and have six months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience.
