Principal Accountabilities

Enters physician orders via computer and coordinates schedules of diagnostic testing; assists patients with written teaching protocols; maintains proper stock of linen and all medical and clerical supplies; and assists with technical matters related to PACS, RadNet or other computer based applications.
Answers departmental telephones as necessary. Verifies information and resolves common problems.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

Staff will live and work onsite Sunday noon through Friday 6:30pm and one (1) weekend Friday 6:30pm through Saturday 5:30pm. Room and board is provided for all staff. Living accommodations are primarily climate controlled, but staff must be willing to live, sleep, and work in non-airconditioned spaces.
SUMMER OVERNIGHT SENIOR STAFF POSITIONS
Head Counselor
Head Counselors are assigned to a group of campers and living unit with a co-counselor each week. The Leadership Specialist acts as a role model and mentor for all staff reports to the Assistant Camp Directors and must have worked at a GSSJC overnight camp before. Program Specialist
Program Specialists facilitate a variety of activities depending on the individual's skills such as archery, riflery, challenge course, canoeing and kayaking, lifeguarding and other camp activities. Staff are only required to be certified in two to three activities. All certifications are provided by GSSJC. Program Specialists act as experts in their certified activities and provide coaching and guidance to other staff regarding those areas of expertise. Program Specialists report to the Program Directors.
Head Lifeguard
Head Lifeguards manage and facilitate day-to-day pool operations and/or waterfront operations and are mentors to lifeguard staff. Head Lifeguards spend all daily programing time lifeguarding at their assigned pool or the waterfront. Head Lifeguards report to the Aquatics Director.
General Information:
GSSJC provides applicable trainings and certifications for hired staff.

Positions and instructs the patient about the preparation for the MRI test.
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy of the head, thorax and abdomen, physiology, and MRI terminology, practices and procedures.
Be familiar with specific MRI coding systems.
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards.
Problem solves equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service representative and CES regarding equipment problems.
Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained.
Completes all clinical supply inventory, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedures.
Actively Participates with patient exams, performing routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests.
Assists with patients with basic clinical care.
Assists with patient scheduling when required.
Ensures that patient orientation, patient preparation/history and patient teaching is provided prior, during and following exam completion.
Reviews the physician orders to verify the types of diagnostic exam requested and that the indication for the procedure is consistent.
Selects the specific equipment settings for the prescribed exam and modifies the settings to ensure optimal image quality is obtained.
Completes the diagnostic exam according to specific departmental procedural protocols. Each exam has specific defined protocols.
Obtains assistance with any procedure which are not completed, or if there are any patient care issues.
Completes patient visit by ensuring that the exam is complete, the documentation has been processed including patient charges and the patient has been discharged safely.
Completes image processing, PACS QA, including the documentation of logs, demographic and diagnostic information required for departmental, hospital and patient record documentation.
Completes all image post-processing.

Education and Licensure:
High School Diploma (required)
Associate's Degree in Healthcare field or Imaging Studies (preferred)
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (R) at time of hire, then maintain as current (required)
ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) certification or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (MR) at time of hire or within 9 months of hire/transfer, then maintain as current (required)
Certified by the state of Texas - MRT within 9 months of hire/transfer (required)
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (required)

This position performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to create three dimensional images of tissue, organs and other body parts that are used by radiologists to detect abnormalities, make diagnoses and treat patients.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
Licenses/Certifications:
Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
One (1) of the following required:
Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR); or
Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).

Principal Accountabilities
Performs MRI procedures on patients: prepares patients for MRI exam, explains procedure, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients for the MRI scanner, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of the scan.
Enters and monitors patient data.
Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and matrix camera. May assist with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation.
Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunction to department management.
Takes emergency call within the department.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
