Job Overview The Principal Scientist will lead innovation and development initiatives for kettle-cooked products, including soups, sauces, and other wet-processed foods. This role is responsible for driving technical excellence, ensuring food safety compliance, and delivering high-quality, customer-focused solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep food science expertise with hands-on experience in kettle processing and commercialization. Responsibilities Product Development: Lead formulation and process development for kettle-cooked products, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company standards. Modify and load control logic sequences, BAS graphics, alarms, trend logs, and system configuration files. Integrate BAS with BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks networks. Provide responsive customer service, system training, and technical guidance to end users. Maintain accurate documentation, service tickets, system updates, and close-out reports. 🎓 Qualifications 3+ years of experience in BAS, HVAC controls, or commercial mechanical systems. Strong electrical & controls wiring skills (low-voltage, sensors, conduit, terminations). Hands-on experience with DDC start-up, troubleshooting, programming, and integration. Knowledge of BAS communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.). Experience with any major controls manufacturer is a plus: Trane, JCI/Metasys, Siemens, Honeywell, Distech, Carrier, Delta Controls, or similar.
