We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded individual who has a desire to jump in and learn our injection molding machines and processes. If hired, you'll spend 9-12 months working through a robust in-house training program, designed to develop you into a technical leader at Royal. In house, we call this role a Molding Supervisor. You'll both manage a small team of molding operators as well as spend the majority of your time on the floor, assisting with molding changes and troubleshooting issues within our bay. Based out of our Cullman, AL facility, this position reports to the Production Manager.
Core Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment. Problem-solve in order to develop corrective actions for customer issues and ideas for improvement
Climb in and out of injection molding equipment in order to best perform mold and color changes
Prioritize production orders and oversee the production of quality products to ensure our customer standards and needs are met
Maintain the work area, equipment and molds to provide the team with an organized workplace and proper tools
Responsible for machine safety and for following all prescribed lock out procedures
Other Responsibilities:
Schedule team machine assignments and break coverage in order to hit daily goals
Work alongside current Molding Supervisors, learning how to lead a small team (3-6) in the execution of daily production tasks and in continuous improvement
Practice writing and conducting employee performance evaluations
Physical Responsibilities:
Ability to lift up to 55lbs
Prolonged periods of standing, walking and performing repetitive tasks
Bending and stooping
Ability to use fingers, hands and arms to complete a task (dexterity)
