Guida is a degreed aerospace engineer with over 25 years of applied experience in the development of certified aerospace products. He was a Designated Engineering Representative (DER) of the Federal Aviation Administration with the unique skill-sets of being authorized to show compliance in four separate areas of engineering (Structures, Loads, Damage Tolerance, and Fatigue). Mr. Guida is delegated by the FAA to analyze and review airplanes and aftermarket airplane products for certification, including aftermarket winglet development. Mr. Guida’s extensive aerospace experience was earned through positions of increasing responsibility with several major OEMs including Boeing, Pilatus, Aviat, Eclipse, and Quest Aircraft Companies. He founded his own consulting company in 2004, where he brought his expertise and unique four areas of DER certification to projects with Spectrum, Raytheon, SNC, API, Falcon, Hawker Beech, BLR, and more. Mr. Guida holds numerous patents and has several patents pending. He was a competitive aerobatics pilot, and is a flight test pilot, holding jet aircraft type ratings for Cessna Citation Jets and the Embraer Phenom 100.
