CURE International company history timeline

1996

In 1996, CURE International was founded and, two years later, CURE’s first hospital opened.

1998

In total, the CURE network passes 3 million outpatient visits and 200,000 surgical procedures, while the good news of the gospel has been presented to over 1 million people since 1998.

2000

2000 CURE Children’s Hospital of Uganda opens in Mbale.

2003

2003 Centro de Ortopedia y Especialidades CURE International opens in the Dominican Republic as CURE’s first presence in Latin America.

2011

2011 CURE International launches CURE Neuro, an initiative to increase access in the developing world to surgical care for hydrocephalus.

2018

2018 CURE Zambia opens a new training center, expanding the educational initiatives taking place at the hospital for doctors, nurses, and other medical co-workers.
