  • Lead and support systems and processes for the selection, development and curation of curricular resources in core content areas across K-12 so that all scholars have access to high quality curriculum, with particular attention to needs of our most vulnerable student populations (English learners, students with disabilities, etc.).

  • Provide direct support to illuminators and leaders in understanding and designing from core instructional resources, lead teams in process of revision, and refinement of core resources.

  • Develop test preparation practices and assessments.

  • Monitor pacing in all classrooms and ensure benchmarks are regularly administered and that actionable data is communicated to faculty and school leadership in a timely fashion.

  • Draft state test preparation guides for their teams to steer illuminators to high leverage standards, create data driven lessons, integrate adaptive software to enhance RTI, and provide administration with real time feedback regarding student performance.

    Stanford University's Continuing Studies Program (CSP) is a premier adult learning program offering more than 600 courses, workshops, and seminars to more than 17,000 students annually. The mission of Stanford Continuing Studies is to share the rich educational resources of Stanford University with adult students living in the Bay Area and beyond.

    Stanford Continuing Studies is seeking a **Business and Technology Curriculum Director** to join our team. As Business and Technology Curriculum Director, you will simultaneously work to maintain and improve the program's existing business and technology curricula while also helping to re-envision this curricula and programming to more effectively respond to dynamic consumer demand. You will be expected to redesign the program from the ground-up, developing a new and integrated curriculum model and programming for which there is currently no template. To do so, the Business and Technology Curriculum Director needs to provide key leadership in the design and implementation of user and market research efforts and develop a strategic plan tied to revenue targets showing steady increases over 3-5 years.

    **Responsibilities include:**

    + Revitalize existing business and technology curriculum to produce stabilizing results with an aim towards increased enrollments and revenue generation.Provide strategic insights and recommendations on immediate actions that can be taken to jumpstart the existing curriculum and start boosting revenue generation while long-term goals and plans are devised.

    + Design and lead research efforts to inform business and technology program development and crafting of the strategic plan. This will include exploring education, business and technology trends, major growth areas, and best practices from peer school and corporate competitors.

    + Provide leadership (along with Associate Dean and consultants) in designing a UX/market research study - including surveying and interviewing - target audiences/stakeholders to gain strategic insights. Using research findings, develop program improvement recommendations that are high impact, revenue-generating, and respond to current trends and dynamic consumer demands.

    + Source, collect and analyze data that will help the newly-designed business and tech program achieve its goals. Utilizing this data and subject matter expertise of industry trends, provide expert recommendations on solutions and strategies to encourage areas of growth that will help increase enrollments and revenue.

    + Develop the roadmap for a revamped curriculum based on research and consumer demand.

    + With broad oversight from the Associate Dean, use research findings to develop a strategic plan for the business and tech curricula that would set goals and benchmarks for a 3-5 year period and would include data and information related to funding and financial stability.

    + Design rubric to provide measurable and objective assessment standards for curriculum; codify best practices and program norms.

    + Conduct class visits (over Zoom or in the classroom) in order to monitor course quality and respond to occasional implementation issues.

    + Review evaluations and provide feedback, coaching and mentorship to instructors. Communicate findings, progress and results with Continuing Studies leadership and staff.

    + In partnership with leadership and the marketing team, develop targeted outreach strategies for business and tech courses, draft communications to stakeholders -promoting and describing the program vision, value, and offerings.

    + Edit and proof course catalog entries and provide meaningful input toward marketability. This includes revising and editing course descriptions, proofing of catalog pages, and providing some assistance to staff in turning down non-selected proposals.

    + Explore strategic partnerships with other university programs and groups (or corporations) to enhance and expand the tech/business curriculum and its visibility.
