Job Description Job Title: Inventory Cleaner & Sorter Contract (1-week) Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Compensation: $1,000 total for the 1-week contract About The Role: We are seeking a reliable short-term Inventory Cleaner & Sorter to support our operations for a one-week assignment. The role involves cleaning, organizing, sorting, and documenting inventory items within our warehouse to ensure an accurate and orderly inventory environment. This position follows all applicable U.S. labor and safety guidelines, including OSHA standards, as of 2025. Role Responsibilities: Clean and maintain inventory items, including wiping, sorting, and organizing products in excel as required. Sort, categorize, and organize inventory items according to provided guidelines. Diarize and record items accurately using checklists, logs, or digital tools. Assist with labeling, boxing, and arranging items for proper storage. Follow warehouse safety protocols, including proper PPE use. Report any damaged, missing, or mislabeled items to the supervisor. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment at all times. Qualifications: Prior experience in inventory cleaning, sorting, organizing, or general labor within a warehouse environment is preferred. Good command of Microsoft Excel to accurately log and track inventory items. Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs safely. Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English. Must comply with OSHA safety standards and all workplace safety rules. About the Position: Capital Programs and Facilities Management (CPFM) is committed to planning, developing, and maintaining a safe, sustainable, and high-quality learning and working environment for the campus community. Facilities Management provides oversight of university resources and assets and is responsible for the development of the University's facilities including land use planning, capital improvement, project development, construction, as well as facilities operations and maintenance including custodial services, landscape services, building trade services, mechanical and electrical, and recycling services. We seek an exceptional individual to join our Custodial Services team as the Lead Custodian. Under the supervision of the Custodial Operations Manager, or their designee, the Lead Custodian works with and acts as lead worker for a group of custodians or other personnel engaged in custodial duties and does related work as required. This position is highly safety conscious, disciplined in proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and responds to trip/slip/fall hazards promptly and appropriately. A CPFM Lead Custodian offers excellent customer service and is always courteous of student, faculty, and staff customers. Essential Qualifications One to two years of related custodial experience which has provided the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities and has included providing on-the-job training and leadership to others. Demonstrated working knowledge of the methods, materials, chemicals, and equipment used in custodial work and of the safety and sanitation practices and measures required. Working knowledge of effective lead and supervisory practices and techniques. Ability to provide lead work direction, including training others on proper work methods and safety and providing feedback on work performance. Ability to read and write in English at a level appropriate for the duties of the position. Ability to use computers to track work orders and order supplies and materials. Ability to establish, promote, and maintain cooperative work relationships with others. Ability to analyze situations and take appropriate action. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment.
