Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment including, but not limited to, eye safety glasses, gloves, and other personal protective equipment. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Associates Degree in Physical Sciences or Business and a minimum of three (3) years in an environmental laboratory or HS Diploma with minimum of six (6) years of experience in an environmental laboratory. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is primarily performed in an office or field environment. Regularly required to sit, speak and hear. Frequently required to walk. Respond to emergencies, initiating emergency maintenance actions, cleaning up debris, water, etc., and contacting supervisors. Safeguard building and unit keys, never giving anyone access to occupied tenant units. Read and record in maintenance logs or other record-keeping systems to receive assignments and communicate progress. Participate in staff meetings and trainings, as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of janitorial/maintenance experience, preferred. Ability to organize workload and complete duties with minimum direct supervision. Ability to communicate and work effectively with people from various backgrounds. Ability to handle a wide range of unpleasant and/or bizarre behavior from clients.
