Duties include maintain buildings and other assigned areas of the College facilities in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition. Clean and dust walls, lockers, furniture, and fixtures; clean chalkboards and whiteboards.
Clean, wash, and scrub toilets and other plumbing fixtures; wash windows. Sweep walks and asphalt areas; dispose of rubbish.
Maintain instructional and custodial stock rooms.
Move supplies, furniture, and equipment.
Perform cleaning and disinfecting duties to keep the buildings neat and clean at all times.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, clean glass, dust, remove graffiti and clean other surfaces to prepare building for occupancy and to maintain them at an acceptable level.
Restock cleaning and paper supplies as needed.
Empty waste baskets, collects and disposes of rubbish and recycling.
Move furniture and arrange chairs, tables and other equipment as necessary.
Demonstrate proper judgment in behavior, speech, and dress in a neat, clean, and appropriate professional manner for the assignment and work setting.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, have initiative, be a self-starter, and strong attention to detail.

This position is also part of the severe weather response team. Custodial staff are required to participate in snow removal throughout campus, including but not limited to plowing, shoveling, clearing snow ice from walks, stairs, pathways, and roads, and being available for emergencies and scheduled "off hour" work as needed.

FY26 Starting Salary: $48,697.00, plus nightly differential, and an increase after 6 consecutive months of service
Job Responsibilities:
The Building Custodian is generally responsible for the achievement of the purposes of custodian services in the building, i.e., preserve property values, protect health and safety of occupants; support the educational objectives of the building and provide a climate of learning, develop goodwill and maintain cleanliness and neatness
* Grounds upkeep, snow removal
* Perform all other general duties as indicated by the Principal, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, the Custodial Supervisor or his/her designee, and policies of the Marlborough School Committee
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED preferrred but not required
* Physical and mental capabilities to perform above work
* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
* Ability to understand spoken and written English.

Overview
The Custodian is responsible for ensuring Mullins Center meets or exceeds standards of cleanliness to the utmost in guest satisfaction before, during, and after all events. This role must aid in the oversight of all custodial work.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00

Responsibilities
Arrives for each scheduled shift on time, and ready to work.
Ability to work morning, afternoon and/or overnight shifts including weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, to kneel, stoop, climb stairs and reach above head as well as perform repetitive motions in connection with cleaning tasks.
Ability to follow verbal instructions and read written instructions especially as relates to cleaning products and SDS.
Performs light and heavy cleaning tasks including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and disposing of garbage.
Restocks restrooms with supplies.
Works safely, quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines.
Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor and acknowledges guests in a friendly manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic understanding of how to use cleaning equipment.
Ability to operate scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, etc.
