**About the Role:** As a J&J Cleaning Coordinator, you will be responsible for basic cleaning duties. This includes mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. This job is part of the Cleaning Services function. What you will be doing * Acts as a lead worker and supervisor to four or more part-time Custodians as assigned * Performs and supervises daily cleaning procedures in accordance with assigned work areas * Records work completed on Area Assignment Checklist * Maintains Custodial Services warehouse in a clean and neat manner * Provides supplies to employees as needed * Maintains log sheet for supplies, and equipment sign-out log * Supplies Custodial Services janitor closets with supplies at designated par levels * Performs other duties as assigned What you need to succeed * Completion of Two (2) years of High School education and one (1) month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Possess basic communication skills in English both orally and in writing * Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs * Capable of standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout shift * Capable of pushing/pulling a maid cart/trash cart up to 100 lbs. on concrete, tile and carpeted floors frequently * Capable of pushing/pulling furniture 25 to 100 lbs occasionally * Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures * Ability to demonstrate neat and organized skills to maintain warehouse in same manner * Ability to communicate well with others * Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed per area assignment * Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff Essential Position * This function/position has been designated as essential.
