The custodian performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the center in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Thoroughly clean all center areas, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and any other common areas within the facility according to the NAECY standards provided by the Center Director.
Perform functions associated with floor and carpet care, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, shampooing, spot scrubbing, etc.
Remove trash from the facility daily.
Replace paper and soap supplies in restrooms and classrooms as needed.
Periodically wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for children.
Maintain an inventory of custodial supplies and equipment.
Complete other tasks as assigned by the Center or County Director.
Inform Center Director of any safety concerns within the facility.
Utilize supplies in an efficient and effective manner to prevent waste.
Adhere to the CDC Personnel Policies at all times.
Maintain confidentiality of students/families.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must possess or obtain required state and federal clearances.
