The Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for performing a variety of specialty cleaning throughout all areas of the facility to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers, fellow team members, and other visitors. Assemble necessary materials and supplies from storeroom. Clean assigned areas by washing furnishings and equipment, cleaning floors, using special solutions and disinfectants. Clean high maintenance items at various times throughout shift and typically when the building closes. Heavy duty carpet cleaning in offices, guest areas and in the back-of-house. Clean with disinfectant throughout the facility. Comply with all department and company rules, regulations, procedures, internal control and safety regulations. Essential Functions: Collect and dispose of garbage Sweep and mop floors; vacuum carpets; clean restrooms Dust and wipe high-touch areas Ensure building entrances are always free of clutter Address minor technical issues, such as changing light bulbs Report damages, coordinate with technicians, and oversee repairs Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies Place safety hazard signs, including wet paint and wet floor signs Respond to major spills or other cleaning emergencies Adhere to health and safety regulations Salary: $16 to $18 per hour Qualifications Previous work experience as a Porter, Janitor or Custodian preferred Hands on experience with industrial cleaning equipment Ability to stand, bend, squat and lift up to 40 + lbs.
