Custodial 2 Lead Responsibilities:
* Work closely with managers, supervisors, and staff from other departments, as needed.
* May work closely with outside vendors to ensure that warranty work is scheduled and completed.
* Meet with vendors when the Supervisor is unavailable.
* Establishes and maintains professional and effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and other departments and agencies.
* Communicate effectively and keep everyone up to date on the status of projects, work orders for that campus/work site, and issues/concerns.
* Organizes, plans, and prioritizes workload and projects.
* Act in the capacity of the supervisor when they are not available.
* Provide daily direction and guidance to Custodial 1 employees at assigned campus/worksite, and other campuses as needed.
* Train employees, assign and review work; prioritize work assignments; review timesheets; arrange for work coverage during absences; and provide backup support to staff as needed.
* Assist in coordinating training for custodial employees on how to order parts and tools, use of the WOs system, including recording of time, parts, supplies, and materials to WOs.
* Complete, track, and reviews work orders (WOs)and preventative maintenance (PMs) tasks weekly and ensures scheduled WOs are completed within department priority-level time standards.
* Order and put away supplies.
* Attend Lead Meetings and communicate with the Supervisor on issues that need to be addressed during these meetings.
* Ensure all policies and procedures are followed according to OSHA regulations and County procedures.
Daily Operations:
* Use a variety of equipment to scrub, buff, strip hard floors (scrubber, buffer, burnisher, wet vac.)
* Uses a variety of equipment to thoroughly remove dirt from carpet (extractors)
* Fills in for Custodial 1 employees to cover for scheduled and unscheduled leave.
* Uses independent judgment and decision making.
* Knowledgeable of and able to perform required tasks of all custodial routes.
* Always carry a cell phone.
* Operate and cleans various equipment.
* Prepare chemicals per instructions using basic math skills to compute dilution ratios.
* Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, walls, and partitions.
* Dispose of trash and recycling in proper dumpsters.
* Appropriately handle and dispose of hazardous waste.
Other Job Duties:
* Understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
* Comply with department and county policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Use ladders and stairs.
* Maintain regular, punctual attendance, and needed CJIS clearance.
* Possess and maintains a current ODL and an acceptable driving record.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

The Custodian cleans and stocks consumable supplies in all Outside In buildings. They also perform all cleaning, such as wiping down surfaces, vacuuming, and mopping. This work is scheduled to take place after hours, during overnight or swing shifts.
Essential Duties
* Thoroughly clean all restrooms. This includes all fixtures, floors, counters, and showers.
* Restock consumables (i.e. soap, paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizer) in restrooms, exam rooms, kitchens, and all other areas with dispensers.

The Oregon City High School Head Custodian is responsible for leading the custodial staff at Oregon City High School, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school building and grounds, and performing routine maintenance and repair tasks. The employee in this position serves as the lead daytime custodian and works closely with OCHS administrators, the Head Night Custodian, and the maintenance department to ensure that the school facilities are well-maintained.
This classification is distinguished from lower ranges by the greater emphasis on leadership and routine maintenance responsibilities, and the degree of independence which requires incumbents to meet the requirements of administrators and teachers while ensuring the timely completion of schedules.
Essential Functions
Confer with school administration or teachers regarding the care and cleaning of school facilities.

North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Cleaning Functions:
a. b. Request cleaning supplies and materials needed to accomplish assigned tasks.
c. Maintain awareness of energy conservation and make suggestions of methods and procedures to consider energy.
d. Secure equipment and supplies and protect against pilferage, loss, theft, or abuse.
3. Safety and Security:
a. Conduct daily inspection and otherwise maintain awareness of, facility and equipment to detect and prevent injuries or damage.

PURPOSE
Perform a variety of tasks involving general care of buildings and grounds. Work involves the cleaning, repairing, and maintenance of school buildings and grounds. This is the entry level class within the Custodian series. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Retirement Plan Contributions
North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility, which is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position, the employee is required to contribute 6% as their employee portion, via payroll deduction.
