Essential Functions Vacuum furniture and carpets. Thoroughly clean and disinfect restrooms. Dust mop and wet mop tile, brick, and vinyl floors. Clean offices, classrooms, hallways, and lobbies. Sweep interior and exterior steps under all covered areas and entries. Clean windows and mirrors. Pick up designated trash collection in all buildings and keep collection containers clean and odorless. Wash walls as needed in restrooms, collection areas, classrooms, and other areas of obvious dirt or graffiti. Shampoo and spot clean carpets and furniture. Auto-scrub hallways, lobbies, classrooms, and all other open areas as required. Strip and/or scrub, seal, wax, and buff tile, brick, and vinyl floors. Maintain S.M.A.R.T. collection stations in assigned areas. Clean custodial tools and equipment and return to storage areas when finished. Keep custodial rooms clean, organized, and properly stocked. Set up and take down chairs, tables, staging, and other necessary items for special events and functions as required. Assist in supporting Graduation and other institutional events as they occur. Clean locker rooms and swimming pool areas as assigned. Clean loading docks and balconies. Perform custodial area duties and comply with Building Services policies and expectations as well as those of the College. Move furniture and office equipment when required. Assist Building Services Manager and shift supervisors as needed. May be designated as required personnel during suspended operations. Perform other duties as required.
