This position will be responsible for the interior and exterior cleaning/ sanitizing of all common areas, including offices, restaurants, shops, parking lots, and restrooms. This position will perform thorough cleaning of all common areas, trash removal, and restocking of supplies in restrooms to the standards set forth by the resort. Additional responsibilities include reporting Lost & Found and any service issues found. This individual will assist the department with special projects as required. To be considered for this position, please send a cover letter and resume by January 19, 2026 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Custodial Daily cleaning at the Burlington Drop-in, Pearl Street Residence, The Landing and The Nightly Shelter. Included but not limited to vacuuming, trash, surface cleaning, mopping, bathrooms, and offices. Weekly extended cleaning at the Burlington Drop-in, Pearl Street Residence, and the Landing Two times per week cleaning at other Burlington properties Take a proactive approach to the cleanliness and appearance of all Spectrum properties and spaces Custodial duties expected to be approximately 20 hours per week Maintenance Perform basic maintenance & repairs to Spectrum property, spaces, furniture, or on behalf of staff Tasks will include but are not limited to: Maintaining and prioritizing staff maintenance request Furniture assembly Painting General building maintenance Delivery of packages & furniture between locations Minor landscaping/exterior building cleaning Coordination with outside vendors on larger building or maintenance projects Knowledge and Skills Required Minimum of 2 years' experience in general construction or minor repairs & maintenance A valid driver's license Additional Qualifications Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong organizational, record-keeping and fiscal monitoring skills Ability to communicate effectively Ability to organize work and manage time to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines, including the ability to adapt to changing priorities Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, push/pull, and lift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and 80 lbs. occasionally Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs. regularly and 80 lbs. occasionally Ability to actively support diversity, equity, and cultural competency efforts by participating in ongoing training and professional development. Spectrum Youth & Family Services is seeking a full-time Building Maintenance & Custodian to support the daily upkeep and basic maintenance of our facilities across multiple locations. This role plays an important part in creating welcoming, functional environments for youth, families, and staff. The Building Maintenance & Custodian is responsible for daily and weekly cleaning, along with basic repairs and general upkeep, including light maintenance, moving small furniture, and coordinating with outside vendors as needed. This position works across several Burlington area locations, with the potential for additional sites in the future.
