Position Overview: Part Time Cleaning staff report to the Director of Setup and Cleaning and are responsible for general housekeeping and cleaning activities within all Wisconsin Center District facilities. Under the daily direction of the shift supervisor, Cleaning staff ensure that all WCD guests and clients are presented with a well-polished experience in any of the WCD facilities. All Part-time Cleaners will work within well established guidelines and assigned areas to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.
Currently looking to hire for 2nd shift (2-10pm) and 3rd shift (10pm-6am)
Responsibilities:
Responsible for satisfactory and timely completion of assigned cleaning area according to schedule
Cleans and dusts rooms including, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up items off the floor, spot clean glass, windows, and doors, and wash tile walls in corridors
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping, mopping, and waxing tile floors and cleaning toilets and urinals
Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions
Scrape gum from seats, corridors and lobby floors
Empties trash, replaces liners, and cleans trash cans
Ensures the cleanliness of ramps, arena and theater seats, and basement storage
Capable of using industrial equipment such as large vacuums or buffers; operate riding and walk behind equipment
Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion
Assists guests whenever possible, referring all requests which are beyond the scope of responsibility immediately to the shift supervisor
Attends work on time as scheduled and adheres to attendance policy
Ensure compliance with WCD uniform and radio policies and local safety codes
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by management, to ensure the effective utilization of the company's resources and to ensure customer satisfaction

Ensure cleanliness of campus buildings (75%)
Performs and coordinates daily, weekly, monthly and annual scheduled cleaning tasks. These tasks may include but are not limited to: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, washing surfaces/windows/walls, dusting, cleaning/sanitizing, stocking supplies, trash/recycling removal, washing/laundering.
Clean assigned buildings on a daily basis, including common areas, individual rooms, and restrooms according to established procedures.
May be involved in supervising student cleaners.
Communicates with co-workers by reporting on cleaning activities during shifts.
Provides building maintenance support (15%)
Performs minor maintenance tasks. These tasks may include but are not limited to: identifying and repairing leaks, repairing and replacing faucets and fixtures, changing lighting and ballasts, repairing or replacing electrical components, repairing or replacing low-voltage security devices and batteries, installing office equipment and furniture, repairing walls, maintaining doors and locksets.
