Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners. Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms. Safety and Security: Monitor and maintain security of the building by locking/unlocking doors at designated times. Assist in emergency drills and ensure that all safety protocols are followed. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the Dean of Safety, Security, and Facilities. Event Setup: Assist with setting up and taking down equipment, chairs, and tables for school events and activities. Ensure event spaces are clean and ready for use before and after events. Inventory and Supplies: Keep inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies, reporting shortages to the Director of Facilities. Properly store and maintain cleaning equipment and tools. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of building systems such as lighting and plumbing to ensure proper function. Perform minor preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning HVAC condensation lines, replacing air filters, and servicing bathroom plumbing. Collaboration: Work closely with custodial staff, teachers, and administration to ensure the facility meets the needs of the school community. Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by the Director of Facilities or other supervisors. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Ability to climb and use a ladder as needed. Ability to work in various weather conditions for outdoor maintenance tasks.
