Yakima Valley College is accepting applications for part-time Hourly Custodians in the Administrative Services Division - Facility Operations. This is an hourly position, work hours are on-call and may include nights, weekends and potentially some holidays. Hours are not guaranteed and shall not exceed 69 hours in a calendar month. Reporting to the Manager - Custodial Services or designee; the Hourly Custodian performs custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness and care of facilities within assigned area.     Announcement # 2025-370 Custodian II (Night Shift) Facility Management Department of Administration Hourly Wage: $15.74/Regular/Full-Time Custodian II is responsible for maintaining and protecting all Yakama Nation Facilities under the responsibility of Yakama Nation Facility Management. The external and internal appearance of a building is reflected in the occupants, it is important for the Custodian II to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises, as well as prevent vandalism. As a Custodian II applicant will be experienced in a custodial role focused on building upkeep, have great physical endurance to cover a large space, and a keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative. Responsible for performing assigned custodial services for the Yakama Nation to assure the sanitation and cleanliness of the building, specifically all restrooms, doorways, and windows throughout the facility. Perform minor maintenance (i.e., carpentry, painting, and plumbing) duties as required to repair and/or modify facilities. Will operate and use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, janitorial equipment, and ground maintenance equipment as needed to complete duties. Work is primarily of a general, manual nature, the duties are routine and performed regularly.
