The Opportunity Join our team as an Electronics Soldering & Rework Operator and play a hands-on role in building and repairing high-reliability electronic assemblies for mission-critical applications in aerospace, defense, and industrial systems. You'll apply your soldering expertise on advanced PCBAs and harnesses, ensuring every detail meets IPC standards and customer requirements. What You'll Do Perform soldering and rework on electronic components, CCA/PCBA assemblies, and wire harnesses. Work with advanced components including fine-pitch, 0201, BGAs, and microelectronics under magnification. Inspect solder joints for quality and compliance with IPC standards, drawings, and specifications. Interpret and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions. Set up, calibrate, and maintain soldering and rework stations; recommend tools/equipment as needed. Provide feedback to engineers on design-for-manufacturing improvements and component placement. Document work performed and maintain accurate production and quality records. Collaborate with Quality Assurance to identify and resolve issues while driving continuous improvement. Follow ESD, safety, and cleanliness protocols to maintain compliance and reliability. Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring quality workmanship and on-time delivery. What We're Looking For High school diploma, military avionics/electronics training, or equivalent. 5+ years of soldering/rework experience in electronics manufacturing. IPC Certifications: IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721 (or willingness to obtain). Strong proficiency in both through-hole and SMT soldering; familiarity with reflow processes is a plus. Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity to work with micro-components under magnification. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications. Roll Tenders work together with the Press Operators and Assistants to ensure smooth and efficient production by always maintaining an appropriate supply of roll paper stock to the press and performing other pressroom duties as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Verify roll inventory number against job ticket Record roll numbers and weight on roll log sheet Move rolls into position and hang rolls in splicer Check oil levels in units and overflow pans; dump and clean as needed Hang plates on the press Assist team with make readies or web breaks Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Skills and Abilities 1 - 3 years of previous press experience preferred Ability to use basic math skills Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Must have the ability to work effectively in stressful situations and meet stringent deadlines Has basic computer skills Must be self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety oriented The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation Mittera is a leading-edge company that provides commercial and digital printing, finishing, graphic design, data analytics, direct mail processing, and fulfillment services.
