About the Position
The Parts Assistant plays a key role in supporting the flow of parts and supplies throughout the repair process. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and organizing parts, coordinating with vendors and technicians, and assisting with returns and inventory management. Strong attention to detail and clear communication are essential to ensure repairs stay on schedule. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Reports To: Body Shop Parts Manager

Primary Job Functions
Parts Check-In: Receive and inspect deliveries, verify accuracy, reorder or report discrepancies, stage parts for repairs and paint.
Parts Returns: Maintain clean return area, prepare cores, and ensure proper documentation with drivers.
Internal Communication: Coordinate with estimators and technicians on ETAs, parts staging, and reconciliation.
Vendor Communication: Track orders, resolve issues with damaged/missing parts, confirm deliveries with drivers.
Supplies & Inventory: Check in and organize shop supplies, accessories, and maintain inventory order.
Invoicing Support: Assist with invoice entry and scanning.
Warehouse Maintenance: Keep warehouse clean, update parts cart board daily, and ensure dumpster area is clear.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong knowledge of automotive parts terminology
Proficient with computers
Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check

Physical Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL DO: You will perform general labor in the shop dealing with metal and/or glass fabrication, assembly and/or packaging. You will be working with limited supervision, loading, and unloading material, and cutting and fabricating metal materials per specifications. Your training will also include reading shop drawings and blueprints, machine operation, and/or using manual and hand tools. You will be required to meet standard operating procedures in the shop, meet established daily productivity goals, participate in 5S, apply continuous improvement principles, and if certified, drive a forklift. You will engage in a safe working environment by following safety procedures, wearing company provided PPE, and participate in safety suggestion programs. There is exposure to constant or intermittent sound of pitch sufficient to cause distraction. There is exposure to vibration when using power tools and equipment. There is occasional exposure to chemicals, dust, and fumes.
SALARY: Starting at $20/hour

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Basic math, reading, and computer skills
Effective communication skills
Curtain wall industry experience highly preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to walk, bend, twist, squat and climb on an occasional basis

Performs a variety of duties required to operate the service platforms in the Dining Services operations in a timely and efficient manner, including but not limited to; greeting and serving customers, processing meal cards and/or other cash register transactions, processing GET orders, and preparing and stocking needed supplies for all of the food court operations. Minimum Qualifications:
