Produce Stocking Responsibilities • Ensure backstock is worked consistently and accurately. • Ensure top sellers are stocked daily. Cashier Responsibilities • Check out customer purchases quickly and accurately, using correct prices, PLU's and departments. • Call for back-up as needed so customers are checked out quickly. • Follow the procedures for cashiering as described in our cashiering policies and procedures manual. • Bag customer purchases as needed and ask customer if they need assistance. For those needing assistance, carry out groceries or call for assistance as needed. • Price and stock items, organize, clean, or do items on 'to dos list' that are appropriate for a cashier to do when there are no customers to be checked out. • Maintain checking area in clean, orderly condition. • Handle returns from customers. Ensure returned items are properly disposed of and recorded or routed to the correct person. Cash Handling • Close and balance the cash drawers accurately at the end of your shift, following our procedures. Store Maintenance • Keep shelves, coolers, counters, and bins in clean, orderly condition. Clean up spills and messes as needed. • Keep bathrooms clean and well stocked. • Keep department equipment in assigned area, clean and in working order. • Use equipment safely, monitor cooler and freezer temperatures. This position is expected to do whatever it takes to get the job done to ensure the successful operation of the store and of Rainbow Blossom. This position will require you to be able to lift up to 20 pounds often and up to 50 pounds rarely. This position will mostly be indoors in a climate-controlled environment, with regular outdoor exposure, which could consist of hot and cold temperatures as well as potential exposure to wind and precipitation. This position will be expected to stand, walk, bend, twist, and pack often; to squat or kneel often; and to climb rarely.
