Position Overview

Customer Service Attendants are responsible for greeting guests, answering inquiries, and ensuring a high level of customer service to event guests. This position requires a professional, personable, and enthusiastic attitude with an eye for detail. Attendants may be asked to wear costume-like attire during the event and will be working in an outdoor environment with all types of weather. This position is seasonal which requires working flexible hours: weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Job Functions

The Opportunity

National Gold Medal Award-winning Coppell Parks and Recreation is looking for energetic and creative staff to work as a Customer Service Attendant at the Senior and Community Center. This team member should be spirited, welcoming, and have a passion for public service and the customer experience. We are looking for a team member who is willing to work shifts including; days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

This position will include but is not limited to, cash handling, the use of our registration system, ActiveNet, and daily staff and patron interactions. Additionally, the Senior and Community Center cross-train employees to create a cohesive team.

This is a part-time, no-benefits position.The schedule will be days, with some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Your Purpose

* Count and inspect the beginning cash drawer and reconcile the drawer per policy.
* Opening and closing of the facility.
* Assist with scheduled programs, rentals, activities and associated set-up/tear-down.
* Performs program registration, correspondence, and customer membership sales.
* Answer phone and customer on-site questions.
* Use of Microsoft Office, ActiveNet, and external PC hardware.
* Assist all patrons in the facility.
* Ensure staff and customer safety and facility cleanliness.

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
* CPR/First-Aid/AED certification is required and can be obtained through staff upon being hired.

Skills/Abilities

Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills are necessary. The employee must work with patrons and fellow staff members. Must be able to handle large crowds and diffuse customer situations. Under the general supervision of the Donation Centers Manager, a trainer or another designee, Donation Center Attendant is responsible for customer service, facility security and maintenance, greeting and assisting donors, breakdown of donations and maintenance of accurate donor records. Also, may be responsible for covering work shifts and working at different donation sites as needed which are regularly permanently assigned, or closer to the team member's home.
