The Cleared Armed Security Officer will be responsible for the following: The Cleared Armed Security Officer will develop, maintain, and continuously improve knowledge of written and oral post orders, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Prevent all unauthorized access by enforcing all Client and PGI policies, including implementing and enforcing badging policies, controlling physical locks and keys, and inspecting persons and equipment. Provide security protection for all Client and PGI personnel and property within the assigned area of responsibility. Report or respond to incidents, security, and safety concerns per established post orders, including responding to alarms. Monitor security cameras and other electronic surveillance systems. Guide, follow, and direct individuals throughout the Site. Assist in controlling physical and electronic locks and unlocking and locking doors and areas. The Cleared Armed Security Officer will perform testing and other inspection services related to access control, including routine inspections, and testing of alarms, locks, doors, monitoring systems, and other access control mechanisms. Prevent the theft of physical or intellectual property. Assist in promoting communication and awareness of data center security policies to client employees, vendors, contractors, and others. The Cleared Armed Security Officer will maintain standards of Armed Security Officer competency, conduct, appearance, and integrity, including compliance with PGI and the Client's Code of Conduct and Uniform Policy Execute and deliver various reports assigned by the Site Manager Complete and maintain pre-assignment, client, State, and PGI sustainment training as directed. Assist in collateral duties, including but not limited to armory and security equipment maintenance tasks. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Must have a High School diploma or GED. Summary: Provides for the safety and security of all residents and employees and property of The Ohio Masonic Communities. Performs foot and mobile patrols of all OMC buildings and grounds and takes such actions, responding swiftly, as are necessary to ensure a safe and secure environment for all residents, employees and visitors and to prevent loss or injury. Conducts monthly assigned fire inspections for hazards and equipment defects and submits written report to Security Supervisor or Manager. Inspects for proper vehicle parking registration, and safe operation of all vehicles on OMC grounds. Maintains complete knowledge of fire and other emergency procedures, fire alarm systems, severe weather alert systems, and any other warning system in use at OMC grounds. Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OPOTA training or equivalent Private Security Training or EMT/fire training experience preferred. Must have valid Ohio Drivers License and insurable by OMC policy.

Provides a variety of services which enhance the quality of life on campus. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Enforces State, Local and University Rules and Regulations: * Implement university access control procedures at entrances, * Responds to calls and complete investigations reporting same on an incident reports. * Provides aggressive foot and vehicle patrol, paying particular attention to unlawful, unsafe or suspicious activity. * Challenges suspicious person and notify the appropriate staff; * Appears in court as needed. * Proper parking rules. * Participates in the professional development of the University and Department: * Participates in staff meetings as requested. * Promotes an image of efficiency and courtesy throughout the university community. * Participates in departmental training. * Performs related duties as required or assigned. * This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required such as: * Vehicle assistance, i.e., jump starts, unlock/lock office doors, monitor residence life activity, conduct security check throughout the campus, and monitor activities at special events. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a High School education or equivalency, and at least five years' prior law enforcement experience or three years of related experience and an associate's degree in criminal justice: * Ability to use related office equipment, including PC monitor, keyboard and printer, telephone, copier, fax, and calculator. * Ability to handle prolonged exposure to climatic weather. * Ability to confront a variety of unknown conditions which could prove to be extremely dangerous. * Physical Requirements: carry, file, lift, reach, sit, speak, write, climb, hear, pull, read, stand, type, drive, kneel, push, see, and stoop. Must also possess the ability to walk long distances and to be on your feet all day. * Mental Requirements: advise, compare, evaluate, interpret, organize, supervise, analyze, decide, inspect, measure, plan, work independently, calculate, diagnose, instruct, negotiate and problem solve. * Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain high level confidentiality. * Must be personable, outgoing, approachable and exude a positive personality. * Excellent professional communication skills (verbal and written). * Organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and strong ability to multi-task. * Ability to work without supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative. Minimum Qualifications * Valid Ohio motor vehicle operator's license. * Must be able to occasionally work overtime, change shift, and work special duty events. * Be available to be called in while off duty for a crisis on campus. * Security Officers shall positively interact, enhance relations, and represent the University with local law enforcement, fire protective agencies, and the campus community.
